Nice set up and a lot of cool things to see. Very child friendly. The butterfly room was super cool.
It was nice but very short. Loved seeing the butterflies but with people behind you you’re moving pretty the whole time.
It's quiet a bit of walking but it is completely worth it. Public paid parking only. I had a really good time at both the aquarium and insectarium. The butterfly room was definition a unique experience. During my visit I was also able to both pet a ray and watch the penguins get fed.
I have visited several Aquariums and this is ranked in my tops. The insectaium was absolute fire! I would recommend this to anyone who loves nature. Both exhibits show case so much attention to detail we absolutely loved it. Recommend to set aside at least 3 hours.
Very nice experience, I didn’t like that smokers was outside the front door. I can’t handle the smoke. It almost turned me away. But once inside everyone was nice and friendly
I used to work and volunteer at the aquarium back in the 1990s and up until 2006 shortly after Hurricane Katrina. All I can say is how depressing the new Aquarium is. Given their budget shortfall- I suppose they have done a decent job at trying to transition into a low cost operation with high cost revenue. Tickets are insanely priced, and I wouldn't call the new insectarium an "insectarium" at all. That area even falls short of what the aquarium used to have in its multi-level jungle atrium. You can also tell all the sponsorships ran for the hills after being scared away by corrupt idealistic New Orleans leadership. For the kids its even worse, less animals, less volunteer teaching points, and just less fun overall. Sad times we live in. Sad aquarium visits indeed.
It was a big aquarium and a nice walk but not many animals for the size and price. It was a nice experience to just get in cooler area and walk around but we wouldn’t see it again anytime soon. Staff was friendly and informative and my kids got to touch stingrays and see workers feed penguins. We walked it all in a littler over an hour.
My favorite part was the insectarian. They have amazing fishes too. They have a amazing staff to help guide you through.
Very nice experience. Loved every bit of it. My daughter really enjoyed it and she barely likes anything lol
I enjoyed the sharks they were cool. But it wasn’t like it was advertised and I’m kinda disappointed with how it was laid out.
