We bought a tour by GetYourGuide starting at 9 a.m. and the company changed the time at 8 a.m. They didn’t inform us about this change, and we had to pay for a super expensive private tour. Unreliable provider!

The tour to Noravank Monastery, Tatev Monastery, Spandarayan Reservoir, Zorats Karer, Areni wine cellar and dinner in a traditional Armenian house is absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip to Armenia. It is a very long day — you leave early in the morning and return late in the night — but it is worth every minute and every euro spent. The places you visit are simply breathtaking, and the itinerary allows you to experience some of the most beautiful landscapes in Armenia. Although the day is packed, there is enough time to enjoy each stop. Our guide, Tatev, was friendly, organized and provided clear explanations throughout the tour, helping everything run smoothly. Our driver, Karlen, was also very friendly. If you don't mind spending many hours on the road, don't hesitate to book this excursion. The scenery, history and overall experience make it one of the best day trips you can do in Armenia. Highly recommended!
Tour was due to depart at 08:00. A minibus from the company turned up at 08:35. The driver was puzzled by the itinerary. A tour guide arrived at 09:00 and, after phoning the office, she informed me that the tour was cancelled. Unsurprising as I was the only person there so, presumably, it must have been known before I walked to the departure spot that there would be no departure. She told me that a message had now been sent to me confirming that cancellation; that message has yet to arrive. I should add that two previous day tours with this company were good.
First came a message that the excursion will take place on Saturday instead of Sunday, after reorganizing our plans and confirming that we are now booked for Saturday, we stood on Saturday morning at the appointed location, but the bus did not. With the help of friendly drivers from other companies and a lot of cumbersome phone calls, we found out that we hadn’t changed our bookings after all and we can’t get any more space. With that, the opportunity to visit Tatev on our trip was over, we just had a lot of effort and trouble.
The tour operator confirmed the meeting point the day before, but the driver didn’t have my details and said I’d have to pay again to join. Another traveller mentioned having the same issue the previous day, which felt very unprofessional. The driver didn’t speak English, drove recklessly even in heavy rain, and water was leaking from the bus ceiling. Seats were fairly comfortable, but there was little space for bags. He also demanded extra money for things that were already included — like picking us up after the cable car to Tatev, even though the monastery was part of the tour. He later took us to an unplanned stop, asked for more money, and as a result, we missed one of the main attractions because it got dark. He initially refused to continue driving until we paid, but after I contacted the agency, they called his boss and he immediately continued the trip. On a positive note, lunch was great, and my other tour with the same operator was excellent. It seems the problem was with this driver, not the agency overall.
This tour was a really great way to see Southern Armenia. Our guide was passionate about her country and very informative. The stops were beautiful, and we had the perfect amount of time at each one.
Tatev monastery & the landscape around it is breathtaking, plus taking the ropeway to reach it, is an amazing experience in itself. Khndoresk cave dwelling is a fascinating landscape which transports one to the distant 'fairy-tale land'.. to relax after a long day, there is shaki waterfalls & wine tasting in the end. Hasmik was our guide today & she was so knowledgeable about everything, helped us a lot with the information, history & anecdotal stories. She's super friendly & cheerful, that it feels amazing to have her as a guide. I will totally recommend this trip to everyone if you are in Yeravan..
There is no way to put zero stars I am afraid. We booked this tour which was supposed to start at 7am. We went there for the tour and the tour operator is called One Way Travel and not Tranquil so basically Tranquil is acting as a broker and just add commission on top of the normal price. We arrived there only to be told that the tour was fully booked and there is no spot for us because Tranquil didn't notify them about our reservation. We were flying the next day so we were left without options. We were forced to find any tour available and book it at double the price because all tours were fully booked. So we paid double the price for a much smaller tour that doesn't go to all the places. Do not book with these guys if you have limited time in Armenia. Better go direct with the tour operator instead of a useless broker that they take commission and they fail to do the simplest thing ever which is to notify the tour operator.
A very long trip but full of wonders. The amazing Tatev cableway which leads you to the Tatev monastery. The caves village of Khndzoresk and its swinging bridge. The wonderful Shaki falls. The guide prodvide us lots of information and the trip was safe.
We really enjoyed our trip and we learned so much about Armenian culture thanks to the crystal clear explanation of the tour guide Miss Ani Muradyan. Kudos to you and your team. It was a short but a very meaningful trip. We are already looking forward to book again in the near future.
