I really didn’t like how the trip is organized. The meeting point is clear but there is a lot of buses on the parking and you need to go to guide and wait to see if your bus is here. Why not send it in the morning and inform if the bus is here? We were 20 min earlier and the bus was at 10:10. Then as some other people say we visited more than it was specified in the itinerary. Well, for us it was fine but I can imagine that if you saw the places already it’s annoying as we were back at 7pm I think. Then the lunch. The worst part. You need to order beforehand and nobody tells you that you cannot share and if you want to sit together you need to pay otherwise no seat for you. My mom couldn’t share food with me and it was really terrible experience. Also dessert is not dessert but 2 types of fruit. It was messy. The view is nice at the sights but the best site had the least time, which was also annoying.

Naz our tour guide was great!
It was an amazing tour. I enjoyed it very much. I will do it again when I bring a friend. Great place to
see history.

Disorganized 9+ hour day
While the scheduled sights are beautiful, this tour was poorly managed and frustratingly inefficient. The 7 hr listing stretched past 9 hrs due to unscheduled stops to Khor Virap and Azat Reservoir. Neither was listed as part of the tour and a second monastery was redundant and threw off the entire day. We had very little time at Symphony of Stones for which we had to pay admission. Poor timing also spoiled Charents Arch. It was the last stop which meant Mount Ararat was hidden by smog. Lunch was chaotic and disappointing. I suggest bringing your own food or going somewhere else. I recommend booking with another tour company.

Disastrous Experience with Tranquil Holidays Tour
We booked our tour on July 12 via Viator and we got the confirmation email from Viator for our Armenian private tour with guide provided by Tranquil Holidays tour company on September 10, 2026.
Today- September 10, our names were not on the list. After 30 minutes- they told us that they have the car but no driver and no guide.
Then I got a text with an apology telling us that they had a system error and that our names were not printed on the list. They offered us a tour at 3:00 PM today for a tour that lasts 7 hours!!!
This Tranquil Holidays tour company is very disorganized and not dependable. Tourists have limited time and this tour company should know better. Please be aware and be wary of this major problem with Tranquil Holidays tour company. I don’t want other tourists to have the same problem with this Tranquil Holiday Tour company that we had today.

Very rude guide
We went on this trip, but the guide was super rude and impolite; I don't remember her name, but I am attaching a photo. Aside from the fact that there were no seats (could you check first?), one of us 2 had to sit in the front with the guide and the driver. I didn't want to roll the window all the way down (I was on the window side), she started talking in Armenian with the driver while laughing; I pointed out my disapproval, and she started yelling and talking into the microphone, screaming for at least half an hour. Pretty crazy, I strongly advise against it. Great, it won't let me attach the photo 😅 female guide, long dark hair. Definitely worth reporting; the others who got off the bus also agreed on the lack of professionalism and rudeness. Someone like that cannot work in a customer-facing job, absolutely not! For those reading, avoid booking with these local guides. Better to choose competent guides

explore outside of Yerevan
Gor was a very good guide. Knowledgeable and fun. It was a demanding day due to the 38c heat, but it was worth it to explore outside of Yerevan. The monasteries were fabulous to see as well as learning about the ancient history of the country. The trip was very good value for money

Be careful if you have time constraints
Check when booking the approximate time of return. On the day, check if there are any changes to the booked itinerary.
The program feels rushed at times.
We had an extra visit to Khor Virap, included in our tour, which could have been a bonus, but as we had already seen this the day before added an unnecessary 2 hours to the tour and impacted our evening plans.

The tour packed a lot of...
The tour packed a lot of things into one day (and charged surprisingly little money for it). I think the operators might be surprised to hear that sometimes "less is more", but it might make sense to remove one or two of the stops and have a bit more time at the others as sometimes it all felt a bit rushed. Our guide certainly tried hard to provide all the information for all the stops, and she was easy to understand. The place where we had lunch also had the lavash making demonstration, which was interesting, and the bread tasted good. Unfortunately, the rest of the lunch food was rather dry and not that good.
Overall, the tour is certainly great value for money and a good way to experience more of Armenia.

Avoid- better choices available
Be careful when booking with this company. They changed the itinerary of the tour without notification. I purposely booked a tour without Khor Virap or Lake Sevan as I would see them on other tours but got put on a bus with these stops, adding 2+ hours of driving. The business rep stopped responding and the tour guide suggested I could just leave the tour, despite already paying. Visit times at each site are very short but lots of driving time
