We enjoyed learning about the meatpacking district, Chelsea market history and the vendors in the market. If we had not gone with Joe as our guide, we would have likely just walked in and eaten one place and left. We loved sampling options, no lines and all of the vendors clearly knew and liked Joe. We enjoyed then walking up on the high line. Definitely worth the time to enjoy vs just eat in the market. Come hungry bc the food samples are super generous and quite a variety.

Lots of great food, but not a lot of time or walking in between each stop since the whole tour, except for 30-40 mins, took place inside the Chelsea Market. Was great for us since it was cold outside, but just not the experience we’ve had on other food tours.
Sorry the tour wasn't what you expected Kelly, it's titled the Chelsea Market and Highline tour which is what we cover and specialize in micro neighborhoods, less than a mile total distance on all of our tours so it's for all abilities. But it's pretty detailed in the description of every spot that you are going to inside the market (8 total and more than any other Chelsea Market tour actually) and a map of what area we explore, so I'm sorry if you didn't understand that. And it is a great "all weather tour" as you stated since 2/3rd's of the tour is inside, so on a cold or rainy day we have options...other tours traveling a few miles across the city for 5-6 tastings don't. But we hope you'll come back to try one of our other neighborhood tours!
