My sister and I had such a wonderful day exploring Quito! The tour was very flexible, which we really appreciated, and we got to enjoy such a great mix of sightseeing and local experiences. We visited the beautiful historic churches, the Teleférico, the swing with its amazing views, and the Middle of the World. The food and chocolate tasting were also such a fun addition and made the experience even more special. Our tour guide (Jessy) was honestly amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, warm, and incredibly accommodating from beginning to end. One thing we especially appreciated was how well she handled the fact that the two of us have very different personalities (one of us is quite outgoing and the other is much quieter) and somehow, she made both of us feel completely comfortable. She has such a warm and down-to-earth personality that it never felt like we were spending the day with a stranger; it genuinely felt like we were exploring Quito with family. We also genuinely felt safe and comfortable with her throughout the entire day. That made such a difference, especially when you're exploring a new country. We never felt uncomfortable or out of place, and she was always attentive to what we needed. Whenever we needed a little break, she was very understanding and would give us helpful tips on how to manage the conditions and keep going. She was also great at keeping us on track with the itinerary. There was so much to see, and she somehow managed to make sure we got to experience everything without making us feel rushed. She deserves a special mention for her photography skills! She was always happy to take pictures of us, suggested poses and the best spots, and somehow managed to make us look like we knew what we were doing. She was incredibly patient and enthusiastic about it, and we came away with so many wonderful photos and memories. For my sister, having the opportunity to speak with someone who was fluent in both English and Spanish was a wonderful part of the experience. Although our guide was fluent in English, she was also happy to speak with my sister in Spanish throughout the day and was incredibly patient and encouraging. Since neither of us is a native Spanish speaker or particularly confident speaking Spanish, having someone guide us through the conversations made the experience even more enjoyable. It was such a special opportunity for my sister to practice Spanish with someone who was so kind and supportive. Our driver was also excellent. We felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire day and travelling between all the different locations was smooth and stress-free. Having transportation between all the different locations was also incredibly convenient. We didn't have to worry about figuring out how to get from one place to another, waiting around for transportation, or losing time between stops. Everything flowed smoothly, which gave us more time to enjoy the experience. Overall, this was our first real tour-guide experience in Ecuador, and we honestly could not have asked for a better one. The combination of the beautiful places we visited, the flexibility, the local experiences, and especially the warmth and personality of our guide and driver made it one of the highlights of our time in Ecuador. We would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Quito. Thank you for making our day so special and for giving us so many great memories to take home!

This tour is a great way to see the main sights of Quito in one day. Our guide, Daniel Santamaria, was amazing. He is very knowledgeable and was accommodating to mine and my father’s needs. I highly recommend this tour to anybody who plans to visit Quito for the first time and wants an introduction to the city’s history and sights.

Overall, the Quito city tour was enjoyable, and our guide, Daniel, was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable about the city and its history. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with the tour was the planning and time management. The itinerary advertises quite a few stops, but we were unable to visit several of them. We spent approximately three hours at the Teleférico, which took up a significant portion of a tour that is supposed to last around six hours. While the Teleférico was a nice experience, I believe the amount of time spent there could have been managed much better considering everything else that was included in the itinerary. After leaving the Teleférico, we continued to the next stop without really adjusting the schedule to account for how much time had already passed. Lunch, which should have happened much earlier, ended up being around 4:00 p.m. By then, there simply wasn’t enough time left to visit many of the advertised locations in Quito. We missed several important stops, including some of the churches and the Archbishop’s Palace. Daniel himself was knowledgeable and pleasant, so my criticism is really about the organization and pacing of the tour. For an itinerary with this many attractions, the time allocated to each stop needs to be planned in advance and managed carefully throughout the day. Would I recommend this tour? I would tell others to think twice or, at minimum, confirm beforehand how the itinerary will be managed. If you are booking a six-hour Quito city tour expecting to visit most of the advertised locations, you may be disappointed if the timing is not handled properly. The tour has a lot of potential, but it needs much better planning and time management to deliver what the itinerary promises.

Leo was a phenomenal tour guide. Definitely try the guinea pig. It was worth the time to go on the gondola up the volcano.
