The guide was well informed and organized. The park is beautiful. Everything is impressive. Unfortunately it was so hot that it was hard to enjoy walking in the magnificent park. We ended early. Global warming is a problem.

Very complete tour of Nara…but guide did not interact with us…just followed his script…maybe a language issue? Very informative about all the sites on his pre-planned tour, but….

George is an extraordinary person and guide. The tour was filled not only with historical information but also with interesting things you don’t find in history books. He was patient with the children, who were quite fussy because the temperature outside was around 39 degrees Celsius. I warmly recommend him.

Thoughtful insights into the history of the park and temples from a Nara native. And 3 hours is about the right amount of time for a tour of this area - once it gives you the lay of the land, you can easily find anything else that interests you on your own.
