We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. We'd like to clarify a few points for future readers. This review was left on our guided tour listing, even though your reservation was for a self-guided rental and no guided tour took place. You also left the same complaint on our rental listing, so we'd like to ensure readers understand this was a single rental experience rather than two separate incidents. Regarding the paddle, our paddles are lightweight, premium carbon fiber paddles designed for paddling—not for pushing off the bottom or using to force your way through tight areas. During the inspection, it was evident the paddle had been used to push against the ground, which can cause carbon fiber paddles to snap. Because of this, we charged for the damaged equipment in accordance with our rental policy. We're glad you enjoyed the trip up until that point, but we believe it's important that the circumstances surrounding the damage are accurately represented for future guests.
