Virginia was a great guide who shared stories with a genuine interest and sought ways of engaging the participants. The tour took us outside of the city center to see some areas less-travelled by tourists.
We're so glad you enjoyed our Hidden Gems Tour! We feel lucky to have a guide like Virginia and we love that we can introduce people to the Plantage!
The Hidden Gems tour was fantastic and we were so lucky to have Ms. Badass In-Chief herself, Elyzabeth as our tour guide. Elyzabeth exudes positive energy and enthusiasm, is very knowledgeable and a terrific storyteller. Her knowledge of the little known tidbits when woven together brought us into the context of the events and the lives of those heros/sheros that were highlighted on the tour. The topics certainly pieced together the contemporary issues that we face today. Don’t hesitate to book this tour!
Awww. Thank you so much. I really enjoy talking about the people on our Hidden Gems tour. I'm so glad that their stories spoke to you!
We enjoyed a great informative walk with our brilliant guide Virginia ! We were a very small group, just ourselves and our two friends which made it more special, Virginia was able to answer all our questions fully and we enjoyed a discussion regarding all the subjects of the walk. Virginia certainly knows her stuff!!
We're so glad you enjoyed our Hidden Gems tour! Thank you for your kind words about Virginia!
Nice tour to the Anne Frank museum.
Thank you. We care a lot about sharing Amsterdam's Jewish history, so this is great to hear!
BadAss Tours was incredibly responsive when I reached out as a solo traveler looking for a BIPOC-focused tour of Amsterdam. After an unsuccessful attempt with another heritage tour, they stepped in quickly and made booking and payment easy. Our guide Elizabeth was knowledgeable, approachable, and never rushed. She shared rich, lesser-known stories about Amsterdam’s diverse history and provided great tips along the way. The tour was thoughtful, inclusive, and truly meaningful. I highly recommend BadAss Tours for anyone wanting a deeper, more honest perspective on Amsterdam.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I'm so happy that we could be a good part of your trip. I've had great experiences traveling alone and I'm so happy to hear that I've added to someone else's solo travels!
We learned about so many interesting and historically significant people as well Dutch history we didn’t know. Our guide, Elizabeth made every effort to accommodate our mother in a wheelchair and hearing limitations.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I'm glad you had a good experience! I enjoyed talking with your group and learning from you as well!
Wonderful tour! Tanja was very informative and was able to answer all questions put before her. We learnt quite a few facts we had not heard before and gave a different perspective. Thank you!
That's so wonderful to hear. Thank you so much for writing!
We went on the Jewish history tour. Astrid was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. I felt a profound sense of connection to the history, especially the travesty of suffering during WWII. Astrid’s sharing helps us to remember what should never be forgotten or, how we got there. It’s a critical message, especially where we find ourselves today. Take the tour!
Thank you for your thoughtful review of our Jewish History Tour. Astrid will be happy to hear your kind words, and we at Badass Tours are so proud of finding guides like Astrid who are both knowledgeable and passionate about their subject. I'm so glad to hear that came through.
This was a fantastic tour, especially if you like to learn about people and history connected to the site you are seeing. Astrid was our guide and told well informed and compelling stories about people who made history, but perhaps were not yet celebrated for their impact. Highly recommend.
What a lovely review! Thank you. We'll let Astrid known about your kind words. I hope you enjoy your time in Amsterdam.
This was one of the best tours we have ever taken in all our years of travel (30+ of guided tours). Elyzabeth is an excellent guide who is extremely knowledgeabe and a very engaging storyteller. Highly recommended for your tour of Amsterdam, one of the greatest cities on earth.
Oh, wow! That's so cool. Thank you! (Also, I totally agree that Amsterdam is one of the greatest cities on earth...)
