The owner and guide were experienced, funny, and treated us like family. You get to meet other travelers. You will see the beautiful scenery and also stop with locals for homemade treats. If you love animals you will love it. If you haven’t been on a horse no worries, they will teach you. The animals are well kept, which is very important for an animal lover like me. They stop for breaks often for the horses and you. You can tell they both really love what they do and it shows on how much all the animals love them. They are respected by the community everyone knows them. Loved the experience. Book it! It’s worth it.

Incredible day riding amazing horses while learning about the area. Ricardo and Joshua were great guides. So were Domino, Luchesa, Susana and Falco-the canine guides. We rode through a tiny village and saw how people live in the mountains.

The experience was amazing from start to finish. The horses are so well maintained and friendly and an added bonus they have a bunch of rescued cats and dogs that you can play with while you wait (if you love animals like I do this is a plus). The pick up at the location was on time and we started on time and throughout the ride both instructors are there to guide you and even assist with the horses if they get to excited (every horse has their personally).

Just great, I absolutely wanted to go horseback riding during my trip to Medellín, and I'm glad I booked with Joshua and Ricardo who were superb instructors, The day starts at 9:30 AM where we meet at a small brunch spot to eat, drink, and wait for each other; once everyone is ready, the Ubers arrive and take us to the ranch. Ricardo and Joshua gave us a tour; they also take in abandoned animals, dogs, cats, etc. Once the horses were ready, they explained everything to us properly for 15 minutes. Then, in the saddle, I had warned them that I was 6'3" and 231 lbs, but that had no consequences; they explained to me that it was okay and that it didn't matter. The ride was long but well-paced, the landscapes were magnificent—plains, small downhill paths, rivers, a small village, etc. Ricardo and Joshua were very friendly; I can only recommend the activity if you are in Medellín.

This experience was great and the best I had in Medellín! It was my first time horseback riding. Ricardo and George were great hosts and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I loved all of the animals they have. You can tell they are all well taken care of. The horses are smart, well trained, and taken care of.

Amazing day! We loved the whole experience. The ranch had puppies, kittens, goats, cows and amazing views, we honestly loved the time we spent waiting there before and after the ride! They were so loving toward their animals and showed us “before”photos of the horses that they got as rescues. They set us up with our horses and taught us quickly what we needed to know, continuing to teach us all along the ride. I was nervous about my 7 year old son, but they were so reassuring and took care of him! The ride was longer than I thought and the area was gorgeous. We forgot sunblock and got terribly sunburned, so make sure you don’t make that mistake. The stops were very nice and riding through the small town was cool. It was pretty hot and sunny up there so I’d recommend to carry a water bottle with you and wear a hat!

This was a great way to spend a day in the beautiful countryside outside of Medellín proper. The two guys that are your guides are really fun, and personable, and they look out for you. Definitely would recommend. It's nice that it is a mix of tourists and Colombians together - a bilingual experience. There was a really good energy in the group.

The horses are trained well so it's pretty smooth. The view is beautiful. I recomend it especially for a first time experiance.

The worst horseback riding experience I’ve ever had. You truly get what you pay for. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. We left about 20 minutes late, and instead of transportation that could comfortably accommodate the group, they ordered multiple UberX vehicles and expected everyone to squeeze in with strangers. I assumed there would be a shuttle or van. Had I known this beforehand, I would have simply taken my own Uber. The biggest issue, however, was the horse I was assigned. I was given a horse named Colorado, who was extremely headstrong and fought against me for the entire ride. I’ve ridden horses before, and I’ve never experienced one this difficult to control. Every time I expressed my concerns to the instructors, they brushed them off as if they weren’t a serious issue. At no point did I feel heard, reassured, or safe. A trail ride should be relaxing and enjoyable. Instead, I spent the entire ride trying to control my horse. The lead instructor continuously trotted and galloped ahead, causing the rest of the horses to speed up as well. My horse refused to slow down, frequently ignored my commands to stop, and kept trotting when the group should have been walking. I barely had the opportunity to take photos or enjoy the scenery because I was constantly focused on keeping my horse under control. To make matters worse, the trail itself included dangerous sections. We rode up a steep concrete hill where several horses nearly slipped and fell. I genuinely did not feel safe on this trail. I also overheard the instructor in the back making comments that I was “forcing the horse” and implying that women don’t know how to follow instructions. Those remarks were unprofessional, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. The issue wasn’t my ability to ride—it was the horse I had been assigned. I wasn’t the only person struggling. There was a French tourist riding near me who was a first-time rider, and he was visibly frightened every time his horse sped up because he couldn’t control it. If I, as someone with riding experience, had difficulty managing my horse, I can’t imagine how intimidating that experience was for someone riding for the first time. If you’re considering booking this experience, think twice. You’ll likely go home with a sore body instead of great memories. And if you do decide to book, avoid riding Colorado. They described him as a calm horse, but that was absolutely not my experience.

This was such an incredible experience and incredible value for the money. I think our ride lasted a good 4 hours, which is amazing for the price compared to what we would have paid in the U.S. You can tell the family loves their animals and want to ensure they are healthy and safe at all times. I did this on my own during my first day in Medellin. I found it a great way to meet fellow travelers and see a bit of the countryside right next to Medellin. Would definitely recommend.
