This is an excellent tour for anyone who loves international cuisine. You will sample dishes from Russia, Georgia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, all within a short walk of each other. Our tour guide, Rich, was very knowledgeable about the culture and history of each cuisine and the area. A bonus was enjoying the dishes under a pavilion on the Brighton Beach boardwalk, taking in the ocean views. Rich provides each group member a packet containing plates, cups, a bowl, utensils, and napkins. Highly recommended.
This was a GREAT tour and really really enjoyable. The guide really knows what he is talking about. He took us to many food shops, sometimes just because 'this is the best place for this particular item'. Highly recommended.
I've done several food tours at different places around the world, and this one was the best! Rich did a great job of explaining the food selections, always tying the food in with its history, and the history of the nation from which each selection originates. The food itself was great, and well selected. As Rich says in his description, "You want leave hungry". Highly recommended!
