The boat trip was very enjoyable but we were expecting the tour guide to speak English as specified on our ticket. The guide only spoke Portuguese and we were the only English speaking passengers. There was not a safety talk in English which I’m sure is illegal. We didn’t get any information about any of the sights we saw as we cruised along the river. Most disappointing and I expect an apology or refund or both from this company.

The beautiful city of Guilin is crossed by the Li River. As you pass through the city there are four lakes that remedy your waters. Well there is a beautiful night cruise that is made between them. In a small boat you will travel these and the shores and lakes will be beautifully decked with dim colored lights, which give a beautiful look to the area. You will cross its bridges and encounter depictions of scenes of life in that area of China, such as cormorant fishing or your love of music. You will see the pagodas of the Sun and Moon at the beginning (the first bronze at 41 meters is the largest in the world) and you will end up in the area where the karst mountains of the area gather and erect. This cruise you must do if or if. It is very easy to reach the jetty.

Lovely cruise around the waterways. Some unexpected entertainment along the way, including cormorant fishermen. As someone else said - do it!

The driver and the tour operator Service very good. But the activity itself is not worth the price it pays.

A wonderfully relaxing river cruise with picturesque surroundings lit wonderfully to highlight the best of the area. The dancing and music in the various pagodas and buildings really added an extra element of beauty and wonder. We even had a lady playing a traditional instrument on the boat on the way back down the river which such a delight. The cormorant show itself was interesting but we couldn’t quite tell if some of the birds were stuck to the poles or not as they flapped but didn’t really move too much :-(

This is an hour cruise through Guilin’s four lakes. It is pleasant to navigate and enjoy the purposefully lit riverside as well as little performances along the way, special mention to the cormoran fishing. The cons, it can be overcrowded, loud and a bit chaotic, but I would recomend it. I would check first whether your hotel is not too far from the pier and maybe you can walk there or grab a taxi, buy the ticket and save a lot of money along the way.

Andy met us at the hotel and took us to the boat. The boat trip was relaxing. My parents really enjoyed the night time scenery. This is something easy and relaxing to do if you have time in Guilin.

I booked this late in the day and because of the holiday I could only get the late ticket but it was really the best that way because it wasn't too crowded and I was able to get really good pictures! Andy was very helpful and so nice and made sure I got on the right boat and pointed out the walking street that I could see while waiting to board! I really recommend his trips!
