Our guide was Jan and we were so fortunate as his knowledge about the culture, traditions and history was impeccable. We did the usual tourist spots in the Mall and the Burj Khalifa but what really made the day was the second half when we asked Jan to take is on his recommend spots. We ventured into the old part of Dubai and Jan led us onto the abra at Souq al Seeb to cross the creek and then guided us through the various markets. He provided background detail about the area and the various markets bringing the whole guided tour alive. Jan was appreciative of the heat and often checked with us if we were ok to continue. Jan was happy to tailor the afternoon to our interests and needs and showed us a part of Dubai we'd have otherwise missed. Thank you Jan.
