Dalyan Beach and Turtle Sanctuary (plus a spot of paragliding!). Getting away from the busyness of Oludeniz was the intention, and this was delivered 100% by Morris and the Team at Chillax Travel. Morris arranged for a local guide (Mehmet) to drive us to the beach and sanctuary. Mehmet, a former English teacher, was brilliant. It was an extra bonus to have him with us during the day. Obviously great english speaking helped, but great local knowledge, and simply being a nice human being made for a very chilled day. We were left to do the beach and sanctuary at our own speed, before heading to Dalyan to see the river side sights and the memorial statue of Kaptan June - founder of the turtle sanctuary at Iztuzu Beach. We then travelled to Fethiye for a bite to eat. Mehmet has lived there for many years, and took us to a locals restaurant which was a really good too. Mehmet then completed the door to door experience by dropping us back to our hotel in Oludeniz. I'd like to thank Morris for setting this up, it was a great day (good value too). Also a huge thankyou to Mehmet a real pleasure to meet. Mehmet and his wife run a small crochet stall at the crafters market in Oludeniz. I'd urge everyone to check it out. Mehmets wife (sorry forgot yr name) is very skilled and can crochet almost anything.... Finally, back to Morris, he also arranged for myself and kids (14 & 16) to jump off Babadag mountain! Suffice to say I'm smiling as a write this review. What an experience. As an obvious tourist you gain a lot of attention from the local businesses and it can be quite daunting.
