アーティストスタジオでのポルトタイル絵ワークショップ

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tile painting. This activity is led by Eglé, an artist, in her studio. unlike most of the other tile painting workshops where you paint with acrylic paints that look like a modern reproduction, Eglė provides the option to paint with glazes that are then fired in a kiln in the traditional colors and manner. Eglė was fun and charming, and she gave us many great “insider” recommendations of places to see and eat in Porto. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend this activity.

This had to be one of the most fun things we did on this trip. There were only six of us in this class and the artist. I don't recall her name but she was very patient and spent a lot of time explaining what to do and how. We opted for the acrylic paint as we did not have time to wait for a kiln dried tile. Also the shipping would have been really expensive to the US. After we completed all the painting, the tiles were corrected for errors by the artist and then dried. We were each given a cork frame and told to only use the tile for display and not as a trivet as it was not treated in the kiln. The group we were with was very pleasant and companionable and everyone left happy. Definitely recommend this!

Fun, friendly instruction from Eglé, meditative art practice. We're excited to pick our pieces up in a few days. She also provided helpful local cultural information with suggestions of other things to do.

This was a lot of fun! I have no artistic ability, but Egle made it easy and enjoyable. This is a relaxing couple of hours where you can express your inner artistic self

Making your own tile in a city that’s all about tiles?!? Yes please! Such a great way to get away from the tourist area and spend a few hours in the neighborhood, learn about techniques of tile painting, choosing your own pattern from her suggestions or creating your own art. Egle was a wonderful teacher, experienced and skilled. So kind and patient, making gentle suggestions when asked. Also a great opportunity to talk with a local and ask about life in Porto.

It was lots of fun and a great workshop. We were very happy with the tile we painted tile we created.

What a fabulous activity to do in Porto.Our teacher was fantastic.So talented and nothing was a problem.She gave us so many wonderful ideas.I can’t wait to see the end result after it has been fired and posted to Australia.

The teacher was attentive, helpful, and put us completely at ease. She shared wonderful little anecdotes — about places to visit, history, and culinary traditions — while skillfully guiding us and still leaving room for our own creativity. A lovely keepsake and beautiful mosaics!

Enjoyed this super fun, well and nicely guided workshop. And we were able to make a really beautiful tile.
