WTMアフリカで文化多様性責任観光国際センターからシルバーを受賞したこの体験は、ケープタウンの食文化とその歴史、空間、そして地元の起業家たちの生きた経験を結び付けます。 これはフードツアー以上のものです。 食が中心でありながら、公共空間、歴史、起業が交差し、ジェントリフィケーションなどの力が都市の暮らしを形作る仕組みを探求する。 ゲストは、隠れたコミュニティキッチン、壁の穴のレストラン、アフリカ人が経営する食品ビジネスなど、それぞれにユニークなストーリーが描かれています。 途中、スモールビジネスのオーナーと出会い、ケープタウンのインナーシティを特徴づける人々や文化について洞察を得ます。 体験は没入型で責任があり、継続的に進化しており、都市の中小企業の風景のダイナミックな性質を反映している。 水面の向こうにあるケープタウンの心と魂を垣間見ることのできる本物の場所です。 ヴィーガン、ベジタリアン、ペスカタリアンの3種類が選べます。

***チャーチ・スクエアでのミート＆グリート***（代わりにウッドストックのチャーチ・スクエアに向かわないように注意！！！） 集合場所はケープタウン市内中心部のチャーチスクエアにあるヤン・ヘンドリック・ホフマイヤー像です。 国会議事堂とスピン・ストリートが交わるマクドナルドの向かい側に、私たちがあります。 ここは、お客様をお迎えし、体験をご紹介するために集まる場所です。 ご注意：これは単なるフードツアーではありません。 食が中心ですが、公共空間や語られない歴史、街の中小企業経営者の生きた体験も探ります。 南アフリカで2番目に古い公共広場であるチャーチ・スクエアは、この旅の出発点として最適です。 公共空間が国の歴史においていかに重要であり、それが今日コミュニティ生活を形作り続けているかを振り返ることから始められる。
***ソマリアの食文化***（最初の共有温かい食事） ソマリアの食の伝統や味を学びながら、温かい東アフリカ料理をシェアしてお楽しみください。 ソマリの名物料理とスパイスティーを味わい、この料理の特徴を探ります。 グループの規模や好奇心によりますが、約20分です。
***旧郵便局＆ケープマレーバイツ***（軽食試食付き） 歴史ある旧郵便局を訪れ、植民地時代の歴史の層やケープタウンにおける公共空間の進化する役割について探ります。 小さな食品ベンダーに会い、ケープマレー/クレオールの軽食を楽しみ、古本に目を通す。
***グランドパレード&マンデラバルコニー*** 南アフリカ最古の公共広場へようこそ。 ここでは、グランドパレードを探索し、ネルソン・マンデラが出所後最初の演説を行った市役所の象徴的なマンデラバルコニーの前で一時休止します。 この空間は、豊かな歴史的文脈だけでなく、現代の南アフリカの政治を垣間見ることができます。 広場を歩きながら、ケープタウンの中心街での生活やビジネスについての視点を提供しながら、ここで毎日取引を行う非公式の食品業者についての物語を共有します。
***フラワーマーケットを知る*** 南アフリカで最も古い野外市場のひとつを探索してみましょう。 南部アフリカで最も古い花市場を歩き回り、その業者の挨拶をします。

***西アフリカ料理と料理の試飲の紹介。***（2回目の温かい食事の共有） ここでは、2回目の温かい食事をシェアし、マリの西アフリカ料理を味わい、アフリカ料理が人々を団結させる能力を持っていることについて話します。
***セントラル・メソジスト・ミッション*** メソジスト・ミッションでは、あらゆる立場の人々が毎日集まっています。 地域社会の活動家と社会正義の歴史を辿りながら、ケープタウンのインナーシティの鼓動の中心であり続けている。 ここでは、この空間がもつ物語を振り返りながら、お茶やコーヒー、ごちそうを味わいながら、ひとときを過ごす。

My family went on a 4 day trip exploring as much as Cape Town as we could, doing all the normal touristy things, table mountains, penguins, wine tours, etc, but hands down the best experience was THIS. Our guides, Dennis and Fez, were incredible. Being willing and excited to talk about anything, Cape Town related or not. AND THE FOOD, they brought us to spots that we would have had absolutely zero chance to find ourselves and with flavours we've never tasted. Overall we cannot recommend this experience highly enough, if there's one thing you should do in Cape Town DO THIS TOUR.
Really interesting and informative walking tour, Dennis showed his passion and knowledge of the history and current issues that make up Cape Town today. Then there were the exotic flavours of Africa from kitchens you may well have passed by without a second look. Wonderful experience.
Very informative tour. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was surprised to go to a person’s home but the food was very tasty. He went above and beyond for individuals wants or work arounds for allergies.
Dennis and his assistant do a fabulous job telling about the history of Cape Town while taking you to hidden spots for food you’d never think to sample on your own. The food places are small, locally owned nooks with deep history in their food and culture! I highly recommend this tour! Not only do you get great food but you see many sights in the central business district.
We learned so much about the history and culture of Cape Town, while enjoying food at restaurants we never would have found on our own.

Dennis and Fez were incredible guides. Very informed about South African history; interesting, engaging way to learn about Cape Town. The foods we sampled—from Somalia, South Africa and Mala—were delicious. And the visit to a coffee connoisseur from Senegal was a great way to end the tour. Highly recommend.
Probably the best tour I’ve ever been on. Dennis our tour guide is so amazing and just so knowledgeable. You can visibly see his love for the culinary culture, which is deeply intertwined into the diverse South African history. It is like 2 tours combined into 1 where not only do you get to explore the local cuisine (supporting local businesses and communities) but also learn about the history that has lead to its evolution. I can’t speak highly enough of this tour and it is a must go if you want to truly experience and learn about South Africa. I came out of the tour with deeper understanding and appreciation of the country’s rich history and a motivation to want to learn more and gain deeper insight into perspectives of its people.

This was not just a culinary tour; it was an immersive storytelling experience that celebrated the rich tapestry of African culture.From the moment we met Dennis, our extraordinary guide, we knew we were in for something special. His passion and meticulous attention to detail made every moment enriching. With each stop at vibrant food vendors, we were treated to not only delicious authentic dishes but also the fascinating stories behind them. We savored flavors from Somalia, indulged in Malay/Creole specialties, experienced the South African "seven colors," and traveled through the tastes of Mali and Senegal. To top it all off, we enjoyed delightful local chocolate and artisanal ice cream, crowning our day with sweet memories.
