If you do only one thing on a visit to Oregon — This is it!!
Harris was our pilot. We arrived early and watched as he accomplished an extremely thorough preflight to include engine run. My wife and I have taken air tours before, and this was exceptional prep.
We had a perfect flying day. Clear. Barely a breath of wind. The Cessna seated four, but it was just the three of us. Harris did close in loops around Mt St Helen’s, and then a loop further out. What can only be surveyed from the air was the lakes that ended up with the tree trunks from the blowout of the side of the mountain. The logs are still floating there after 46 years! Harris said they change position every time he sees them.
You have to see Mt St Helen’s in its powerful beauty! Toward the end of our surveillance, we spotted three tiny little human dots who had climbed to the rim. That put it all in perspective.
He also pointed out the other peaks in the region.
There is just an intimacy between you and the sky in a small plane.

Smooth Sailing
We were four ladies on a five day wine country excursion. We decided to start it off with a flight over Mount St Helens. We had a smooth flight with Harris and would highly recommend him and the tour.

2nd ride
This was my husband I second ride with Envi. They were smooth and not much turbulence. I would pick do the Portland city tour if we ever return. We got lucky and had a clear day on both tours.
