We had a great time on La Santa Maria. The crew was very nice, relaxed and answered all our questions. You can see how much they care about the environment and marine life. We encountered some dolphins that even came fairly close to the board and swam / crossed underneath it. The trip on the Santa Maria alone is a beautiful experience, very calming and with a great view of the island and the sea. Seeing the dolphins made everything perfect. We highly recommend taking the trip :)
We had a wonderful experience with WeWhale in Lanzarote. The electric catamaran offers a quiet and respectful way to explore the ocean, far away from the atmosphere of many larger tourist boats. During our trip we were lucky to observe dolphins in their natural habitat and enjoy the stunning scenery of Lanzarote from the sea. What impressed us most was the genuine commitment to marine conservation and education. The crew shared their knowledge with enthusiasm and made the experience both enjoyable and meaningful. If you are looking for a responsible and authentic wildlife experience in Lanzarote, WeWhale is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.
1.000.000/10! Best. Experience. EVER! I was hoping to maybe see a dolphin or two, but I wasn't prepared for the large schools of dolphins that schwamm with us. The feeling was beyond words. We've seen three different breeds of dolphins, from small to really large, and even two sea turtles. I still can't believe my life-long dream came true. The crew is AMAZING, kind towards humans and sea creatures, multi-lingual, and wewhale is absolutely worth supporting. The catamaran is stable, has good seats and even a toilet. But I highly recommend sitting/lying on the nets - around 30 cm or so above the water, closest to the dolphins. Though we something did quite a jump over the waves, I didn't get sea-sick at all. And I usually get sea sick only by watching a ship from a distance.
On 3rd June my husband and I had this trip booked, from arriving at the dock, meeting the crew, boarding, the 4hr trip was fantastic from start to finish. The crew were friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. We had some students with us aswell, who were equally as friendly. We were offered drinks and snacks throughout, the crew took time to share their knowledge of marine life with us,history of the boat, and they were so passionate about their love for the ocean. We stopped a couple of times at sea to collect waste from the ocean. We Whale do fantastic work with conservation among other things, I'd highly recommend booking this trip, they also have a website to purchase merchandise and profits go to conservation. Fantastic day, thank you all that were onboard today!
That was enjoyable peaceful ,quiet boat experience. Big shout out to the boat crew and other guests ,lovely family from Germany. Thank you Guys.
We had a great time on this trip. It was well-organised, with the team contacting us a day ahead of time to check all was okay with our travel arrangements. Laurène was our main guide and she and the other staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. During the trip we were able to learn a lot about whales and dophins as well as marine ecology in general. We were lucky enough to see two species of dolphin which was a great experience and the staff's enthusiasm was infectious. Many thanks to all for a great and educational trip.
Very good communication. The welcome is warm, and we appreciated the snack. We received interesting information and saw the ecological commitment. The people collected the plastics.
An informative and enjoyable trip with Gonzalo, Silvia and a volunteer from France I have forgotten the name of. Nice human beings. We were lucky to see a pod of 30-40 dolphins and observed them respectively. Having once been on a catamaran trip in another country where a pod of dolphins was mobbed by boats, jet skis, and people dive-bombing into the water, it was great to see WeWhale demonstrating a sustainable and respectful approach.
We chose We Wales for their electric catamaran and their involvement in respecting the marine ecosystem. I confirm that. In addition the crew was attentive and as happy as we were to see the magic of dolphins. It was a great time, the dolphins were numerous and spent 10 minutes playing with the boat. The four hours passed quickly. The price is worth the show.
My partner and I booked the morning 4 hour trip. This was the first of what will hopefully be many dolphin and whale boat trips and were not disappointed. We were greeted, introduced to the crew and briefed on what the trip would entail, where we were allowed to sail and where we couldn't go due to the protected area. We were told where we could and couldn't stand on the boat, what we could and couldn't do. I was pleasantly surprised that within about half an hour a pod of dolphins decided to join us. The crew were so excited and enthusiastic and if it hadn't been for their encouragement I would never have gone onto the net at the front (I'm clumsy and a bit unsteady on my feet) and got amazing photos and videos. Seeing the dolphins up close was amazing. This pod stayed with us for a good half hour. Once they moved off we were offered a hot drink and later fruit and peanuts. It was nothing fancy but it tasted really good after an hour outside and was very much appreciated. After a short while another species of dolphin joined us. The return trip was quiet and peaceful. I'd definitely recommend this trip if you care about the welfare of wildlife, I really like WeWhale's ethos and it's opened up an area of interest for me that I wasn't really aware existed. My only wishes are: 1) a reminder of which dolphins we saw (Tuesday 28/04). 2) the opportunity to maybe buy the photos that some of the crew were taking with their big camera as I'm sure they would be amazing.
