What a great time with a small number of people and a true expert. Justine worked in the wine industry and there's nothing she doesn't know. Two different wineries, lots of tasting and sampling. Super fun day. Highly recommend!
Very enjoyable visit to two small North Rhone Valley wineries with Justine as our driver and informative guide. Lots of pleasant conversation with Justine and the six others in our group. Four hours start to finish with a variety of white and red Rhone wines to taste (and purchase for shipment to the US if desired) and small charcuterie accompanying.
We had a wonderful half day tour with our guide (and driver), Justine! She was very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the Rhône Valley wines and the varietals grown and produced here. We visited 2 small, family owned vineyards and tasted 5-6 wines at each. All very nice wines, and we especially liked the first, very old (late 1700s) winery. Totally worthwhile tour with beautiful terraced vineyard landscapes along the drive.
The guide was excellent! Very sweet and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour. But, wound have preferred to visit ALL old vineyards, where you see the cellar, grapes, etc. The 2nd stop was not as hoped.
Justine was the perfect tour guide. She was friendly, concerned with our safety, professional and very knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were three and four generation wineries. We learned so much! And the wines? Such a lovely experience. One thing we learned was to visit in the morning when your palate is fresh.
Justine was so knowledgeable and personable. She gave us a lot of great incite into the land and how it affects the grapes, the history and even the way wine is regulated in France. The tour of the winery was great, and yes, the wines we tasted were fabulous. Well worth an afternoon of your time. Thank you so much Justine!

We had such an enjoyable experience on this Northern Rhone Valley wine tour! Our guide Justine was fabulous– she has a deep knowledge of the region and its producers and has such a friendly and engaging personality. The small group size made the tour feel personal and comfortable, and the Côte-Rôtie winery selections were wonderfully unique. This was a perfect way to spend a half-day exploring and enjoying wine from local producers– I would happily do again!
Justine picked us up in Lyon and drove us to Northern Rhône Valley. Along the way we got to know each other a wee bit and she educated us on how so many aspects of local viticulture from how the trellising is different from what we’ve seen before and the irrigation policies. She picked a gorgeous spot for us to get out and really appreciate the view and how steep the hills are. I have a new respect for the people who harvest on those steep hillsides! Justine is very knowledgeable about French wine and the local regions We had two great stops, with several tastings at each stop. She has a great relationship with each winery staff, no surprise as she is very personable. Though each winery presented the wines and explained the history, she also filled out the experience with even more information. Justine also told us much about the history of the Lyon area and recommended several Buchon restaurants that we enjoyed over the rest of our stay in the area. We highly recommend Justine’s tours if you want to feel as though your dear friend is explaining the region in detail. This was a highlight in our very memorable holiday. Mark and Janis
