Excellent tour to learn about the coffee-growing customs of Colombia, living the experience is unique. The guide Mateo definitely has constant knowledge and training regarding the subject. Even due to flight issues we had to leave before lunch and at all times they were kind and flexible.

We had such a great experience on this coffee tour! We were picked up close to our Airbnb by a very friendly representative who even gave us a little tour and shared information about the area as we made our way out to the coffee region. Once we arrived at the plantation, we had the option of heading up the hill on horseback or walking. Since it was such a nice, brisk morning, we decided to walk and really enjoyed it. We were welcomed with a drink and then divided into English- and Spanish-speaking groups. I joined the English group, which was small and intimate, and we were lucky enough to have the owner himself lead our experience. His knowledge and passion for coffee were incredible. He explained both traditional and modern methods of coffee production and walked us through the entire process. We even went out and picked coffee cherries ourselves, learning how to tell when they are ripe—and discovering that the fruit is actually sweet when you first open it! We learned about the different methods of drying and roasting the beans and ultimately got to see the entire journey from picking the coffee to brewing and drinking it. As an unexpected bonus, they also grow sugarcane on the property, so we got to see how it is processed and cooked down into traditional Colombian panela. We were able to taste it fresh and even take some with us, which was a really nice touch. The experience finished with an awesome lunch, plenty of coffee, and all of us happily caffeinated! It was educational, interactive, relaxed, and genuinely fun from beginning to end. If you’re visiting the Medellín area and want to understand Colombian coffee beyond simply drinking it, this is a definite must-do experience.

I made a reservation about two days ago. They picked me up in front of the hotel, and I went with a foreigner because of the coincidence. For the coffee bean tour, since we'll be picking coffee cherries on the mountain and walking through the forest, I think it would be better to wear long sleeves and long pants. The tour itself was very educational; I was impressed by how the taste changes completely depending on the brewing method even with the same beans, and it was very interesting to be shown the process from coffee to shipment. I became interested and came because many Japanese people immigrated to Brazil to make coffee. It was good that it was close, about a 40-minute drive from Medellín, and I was also glad I could eat traditional food for lunch.

We enjoyed this tour from start to end. It's a really great experience. We added the "mule ride" to get to the Coffee Hacienda and it was AMAZING. Try it!! I laughed all the way. The experience and coffee tour was great. I loved to learn about the process. Be prepared to try like 6-8 different types of coffee, dance, pick up coffee beans and feel like you were hired by them. It's the full experience with boots and uniforms included xD. The meal was very cultural and served in this really cool way. It sure is a Colombian gastronomic experience. I recommend this for sure!! My family and I loved it.

Be prepared to hike vertical unpaved slippery steep hill if you don’t pay for the mules/horses. Once up there, we wasted 1 hr+ just waiting for folks to arrive. picking beans is hard also as it is steep/slippery hill… hiking boots for sure.

This tour was one of our favorite experiences. It was both enjoyable and very informative. The owner and his family were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and polite, taking the time to explain every step of the coffee-making process. The tour included coffee picking, a wonderful coffee tasting, and delicious food, all surrounded by gorgeous views. What made the experience especially memorable was how attentive the staff were to my 88-year-old mom, helping her navigate some of the hills along the way. There is a short but fairly steep walk at the entrance, but she managed it—with a little help! If my 88-year-old mom could do it, most visitors should be just fine. The coffee-picking experience was fun and educational, and the entire property is beautiful, charming, and full of character. A wonderful family-run experience and highly recommended! This was such a great tour. As a coffee lover it was great to get hands on and see how the process works. The staff were attentive and the whole experience was well worth the money. And the food was excellent - being vegan it can be hit and miss but this tour caters really well. You won’t have a better view when eating lunch anywhere in the world.

I recommend this coffee tour because it was lively, international and very accommodating. I booked with the option to pick up at a hotel near where I was staying. When I was contacted the day of to confirm pick up by the driver, he ended up coming right to my door. (Pick up and drop off). It was great! At the farm you get a lot of interaction from the guide and learn a lot about the coffee preparation and flavors. Daniella was great! Couldn’t say enough great things about her. If you have about 4/5 hours to fill - book this experience!

Enjoyable tour. They picked us up at our Airbnb along with others. Drove to starting point and walked or have the option to take horseback. Definitely recommend sneakers - shoes with grip for walk along with picking coffee beans. Fun learning about the entire process from seedling to roasting. Next was the different type of brewing from various countries. Leaned about how to recognize type of coffee you’re drinking. Topped it off with a tasty authentic Colombian lunch. Our guide Mateo (I believe) was knowledgeable and made it fun. Recommend this tour especially if you enjoy coffee or curious how it’s processed.
