The whole day felt rushed. At Knossos we were given just 50 minutes to return to the vehicle. There was no suggestion of a guide which would have brought the visit to life. When mentioned as we boarded the vehicle our driver simply referred to the many information posts around the site. These were however often obscured by the crowds of people gathered around their respective guides. It was disappointing and our driver playing an audio of the history of Knossos as we drove away did little to make up for a poor experience. The olive oil tasting would have been more interesting if it had been supervised and each explained rather than trying them blindly. There was no mention of honey, although two jars were left for trying. At the cave we were given an hour. As we were told it was time to leave I mentioned I needed the toilet and to pay for drinks. Whilst the driver was aware I was shouted at to get a move on as he had chosen to move the vehicle and was agitated as he had decided to park in a position that blocked the road and other drivers were getting annoyed. We were told a few times that lunch was optional and the driver seemed to be wanting us to agree not to stop, although we chose to. As we were driving away from the tree the driver asked if we wanted to stop for a coffee. By then we simply wanted to get back and said no. It was only later we realised this was part of the trip and not a kind gesture or afterthought as it appeared. Overall it was disappointing, not a day to remember and poor value for money.

An Amazing Way to Experience Crete’s History and Culture! We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour! Marinos was our guide throughout the entire day, taking us from Knossos Palace to the Lasithi Plateau, Zeus Cave, local villages, and an olive oil tour. It was such a great way to experience both the ancient history and the culture of Crete. Visiting Knossos Palace was one of the things I was looking forward to most on our entire trip to Crete, and getting to finally experience it was incredible. For our time at Knossos, we were paired with a local guide who specialized in the site, and she was amazing. She shared so much history and context that really brought Knossos to life and made the experience even more special. Marinos was wonderful. He was organized, communicative, incredibly friendly, and so knowledgeable. Everything throughout the day felt seamless, and he gave us so much interesting background and context for the places we were visiting. We had tons of questions, and he happily answered all of them! We especially loved the little things he added along the way. At one point, he even pulled over on a mountain road to show us wild herbs growing nearby. Those spontaneous moments made the experience feel so much more personal and gave us an even better glimpse into life and culture in Crete. Marinos was also just genuinely pleasant to spend the day with. He made us feel so welcome, especially knowing we were visiting on our honeymoon, and we really enjoyed talking with him throughout the tour. If you want to see a lot of Crete while learning about its ancient history, culture, food, and everyday life along the way, we would absolutely recommend this tour!

A wonderful day spent immersed in Cretan culture, history, incredible food and spectacular sights that exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Marinos, was excellent, professional and made our experience even greater. He went above and beyond to show us numerous important sights of Crete. Great way to see the main attractions near Heraklion. Our driver Apostolos, was friendly knowledgeable and full of information all along the 8+ hour tour. He even treated us to a coffee in a historic quaint village. Lots of other great stops too. I’d recommend prearranging a guide for the tour of Knossos, if you want to get the full experience. Highly recommend this tour, it was one of the better ones on our trip.

Such a great time, excellent day out! You get amazing views and see some great sites, our driver Apostolos made it even better. He knew a lot about the history and the locations which made it very interesting, and he kept us entertained the whole day.

Apostolos (driver-guide) was incredible. Not only was he funny but I think he was easily the best guide I've had my entire Greece trip! Knossos Palace was really interesting. I would have never considered a civilization before what we know as the "Ancient Greeks". The palace specific guide was totally worth it. I probably wouldn't have known what I was looking at without her. Zeus Cave was breathtaking. A must see if you are on Crete. It's completely huge and filled with the most unique structures of rock. Plus, I didn't expect pools of water in inside. I've never seen anything like it. And so many places to get good pictures with or without you in it. And I wouldn't have seen any of it without this tour, as I don't drjve at all. If you are looking for a nearly full day excursion while on Crete, this is the one to do.

Guide (Mr. Apostolos) was good - knowledgeable & personable. Only negative point we gave us that a visit to Zeus Cave was advertised and communicated to us as included in the trip but on the day of the tour, we were informed by the guide that it will not included. We should have been informed earlier.
