A very enjoyable day. Our Bus driver was informative and knowledgeable. He kept us entertained with his sound knowledge of the locations we passed. The Milford Sound experience was amazing. The ship was very comfortable, and the Skipper and his crew made us feel welcome. The commentary was excellent and the lady doing the commentary had full knowledge of the history, flora and fauna and rock formations. She informed us with her easy manner.

The views were amazing. The bus driver was knowledgeable and funny (other than mentioned below). Unfortunately, our bus driver had an extreme case of road rage. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he had at least 20 loud abusive tantrums in relation to traffic throughout the day. He high beamed and tailgated vehicles constantly, leading to more than one rude gesture from other motorists directed our way. At one point, an (apparent) tourist stopped their car at a red light at roadworks on the wrong side of the road. Our driver immediately launched into a loud-mouthed tirade at them. Upon realising their mistake, the tourist then attempted to merge back into the correct lane, with a lot of space to do so. Our bus driver sped up in a malicious attempt to block them from doing so, attempting to leave them stranded on the wrong side of the road. Whilst knowledgeable and otherwise humorous, the bus driver's ongoing childlike tantrums and volatility did detract significantly from what would otherwise have been a fantastic day.

Magnificent landscapes! Grig was awesome negotiating the zigzags effectively commanding awe. The tour is all worth it.. I highly recommend it: Do not leave South NZ without taking this tour.

This is a must visit when in Queenstown. The natural beauty will take your breath away. The towering mountains above you as the boat travels between them. We were fortunate to experience so many waterfall on the mountains flowing as it rained the previous day. We were on a smaller tour with a smaller boat to be able to get right up against the wall of the mountain and see the trees on the vertical wall as well as some of the other falls. It was also a smaller group so it was not crowded. It is worth the little extra for the experience. We also saw dolphins and sea lions too. Our driver Jack and tour guide Peter was an incredible team for this journey to Milford Sound. Professional driving and informative. On the boat Nick was great in providing a great narrative of the sound.

We booked the Milford Sound Coach & Discover More ex Queenstown tour on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and it was an incredible experience. We stayed at the Hilton Queenstown, and Southern Discoveries arranged a taxi pickup early in the morning, which was smooth and well-organized. The coach arrived on time, and from the start, everything ran perfectly. Our guide Ellie and driver Yoda were outstanding. Ellie shared great stories along the way, and we made several scenic stops for photos, breakfast, and restroom breaks. Everything was well-timed, allowing us to fully enjoy the journey without feeling rushed. The extended cruise at Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky to have clear weather, which made the waterfalls and fjord even more spectacular. It truly felt like one of the most beautiful places on earth. After the cruise, Amiee and Yoda brought us back to Queenstown safely. Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and we’re very grateful to the team for making it such a memorable experience.

Great ride going with nice descriptions. But the return was long for us... maybe find an option stop in Te Anau... It was really to be done. We took with lunch a full box. Thank you very much 👌🙏🌈

This tour was an absolute highlight of my entire trip—my favorite day in New Zealand. Milford Sound is breathtaking on its own, but the experience was made even better thanks to Ellie, who was a truly fabulous guide. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and warm personality added so much to the journey. She made every stop meaningful and kept the whole day running smoothly and enjoyably.
