Great trip. Great company. Stan the Tour Guide/bus driver very knowledgeable, great sense of humour. We where to bus, boat and fly back from Milford, but weather conditions where not good. Great communication with what was happening. Was being refunded without question. Would definitely do it again, with the same company. Brilliant day.

This was amazing!!! Bus from Queenstown… boat tour… and the flight back! Airplane… but I am sure helicopter would give you the same sense of wonder! NZ is beautiful! Seeing from the flight back to Queenstown was a memory that will last a lifetime!!

Viator is a third party company that coordinated tours into a package using two separate companies. Our friend booked a similar experience through viator for the same day/time but her sub-companies were different than ours— we should have booked on the same exact itinerary to travel together. Unfortunately we were informed only after entering the first stage of our 3 part excursion that the last part was cancelled. Visitor did end up refunding us for that portion after request, but the communication was poor. I would recommend booking directly through local companies to avoid the hassle and miscommunication! Souther Adventures in Queenstown was the company through which the first two parts were booked— a coach/bus ride and tour into Milford Sound and then a cruise through Milford sound. The bus ride wasn’t super great— the guide wasn’t extremely knowledgeable, although she was nice and the driver was great. It would have been nicer to hire a car and drive it ourselves. The cruise however was incredible— mainly because Charlotte l, the tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. I would give Souther Adventures guide Charlotte on the cruise five stars!

Great time. One clitch said we'd have our own window seat on the plane vack. That was not the case...

Unforgettable trip - our guide Allegra made it even more fantastic. Her knowledge, passion, and humor was spot on ! During our drive we were treated to rainbows, birdlife and ample stops for comfort. Even though our return flight was cancelled due to weather , Allegra went above and beyond and found us a heli flight back while we were on the cruise. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Allegra who arranged for us to see dolphins, seals and a penguin on the cruise 😁 Would definitely recommend this trip -and a wonderful bonus if you are greeted and accompanied by Allegra.Thanks for the memories

Our guide Allegra was exceptional. Her knowledge, passion and humor made a fantastic trip so much fun. She provided us with rainbows, bird sightings and I’m sure she pulled some strings for us to see dolphins, seals and a penguin during our cruise. Would highly recommend this trip . Even though our original flight was cancelled due to weather she was persistent in finding another flight for us(by helicopter- 😁)Thanks for a great trip.

Flight maybe, in fact probably will be canceled due to weather, so don't plan on being back before 7 pm.

We booked the coach drive over and fly back. The weather was perfect blue skies and all of the passengers we were with that booked flights had a pilot waiting on them. We had no pilot and they didn’t even notify us or the coach driver. We had to hunt them down and they just said “we aren’t flying today “. No explanation. So we had to take the miserable 4 hour drive back. They gave us a partial refund but since we didn’t get what we paid for and expected we believe they should refund in total. Neither Viator, Southern Discoveries or Milford Air were willing to take any responsibility. We believe the plane didn’t fly because they didn’t have enough passengers and therefore chose to abandon us. The weather had zero to do with it. Buyer Beware.

Stan the driver was excellent - well organized , helpful, friendly and gave good information Stunning scenery - comfortable coach and boat trip Cafe Stop at Te Anau was overwhelmed and under prepared for the large number of people going thru - coffee on the boat undrinkable but all in all an amazingly good well organized tour Shame due to weather we couldn’t fly back

Firstly the coach ride over to Milford was brilliant. The scenery is amazing and our coach driver, Keith, was funny, informative and engaging. He made the journey very enjoyable. The Fjord is out of this world, a must see! My only criticism would be is that the boat was too full of tourists.
