The crew was awesome. Captain dimetre and George. The cook Richard. All were so nice. Went paddle boarding to the island. Such a beautiful island.

Manos is one of the coolest people I've ever met. He made the experience a true highlight of our trip. Not only is he an awesome sailor, but he has a heart of gold and is full of some of the most interesting stories and knowledge the world over. 10/10.

The trip was amazing. Stopped for a swim. Had delicious food and drinks and saw the lovely sunset. What more can you wish for?

Nice sailing l even with a bit choppy sea. Calm bay with lots of time to explore the underwater world. Good lunch, plenty of soft drinks and beer. Very confident and warmhearted young skipper. Recommended!

You will board a sailboat with a very experienced crew and sail an hour to a remote island with stunning clear blue water. You can swim, snorkel, paddleboard and chill. You will get a home cooked lunch from scratch. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Definitely a highlight of our trip to Crete was the Dia Island excursion with Cretan Sailing Cruises. We arranged pickup from the hotel and the driver Mike, was kind and answered all our questions about Crete. He dropped us off at the port where the skipper picked us up from and boarded us onto the boat which looked in good shape. The trip is about an hour from Heraklion port but you won’t feel the duration of the trip because the views are insanely spectacular and of course, being on water is magical. Once we arrived at Dia Island, we were able to swim and snorkel whilst food was being prepared for us. There wasn’t much to see below the boat but still, the water is clear enough to make the swim well worth it. After we ate, we managed to relax and soon made our way back to the port. We booked the 3pm time slot to be able to catch the sunset on our way back and what a view that was. If you’re still deciding what to do in Crete, add this to your itinerary and you won’t be disappointed.

Manos and Dimitri were very accommodating and hospitable in this evening cruise to Dia. They did a lot to make it enjoyable for everyone even to the point of taking us to a separate lagoon where there were no jellyfish. They even made an effort to engage with each person. Food was delicious albeit we did have some inconsiderate 20 somethings that felt like they could eat as much as the way wanted like an all you can eat buffet with no regard for others that had not eaten. That was the only downside to the whole trip was that one couple. And you are going to have one in every activity. It was quite the eclectic cruise with couples from different parts of the world. About 10 people all together. Wonderful getting to know everyone. Water opportunities and equipment was ample. Beautiful views of Heraklion and Dia from the boat as well as flights coming in and out of the airport.

Captain Kosta and first mate Theodore could not have been more accommodating! Not everyone on our cruise were experienced sailors like myself. If you have never sailed, no worries! They helped get everyone aboard comfortably and then served pastries and coffee. Kosta got the boat out of the slip with ease. As we moved through the harbor, he explained in detail where we were going and how long it would take to get there. Additionally he talked about the history of Crete which I particularly enjoyed. As someone who has been sailing for over 40 years, I can say Kosta is a very capable captain and BONUS…he’s a comedian! Loaded with quick lines, he had us all laughing as we sailed along. He and Theodore were always asking if we wanted a drink…water, soda, wine and beer were plentiful. Once we reached the island of Dia, our swimming destination they skillfully set anchor. They distributed snorkeling equipment, floaty noodles, set up the paddle board and helped those who wanted to get in the water. Then Kosta and Theodore got busy in the galley. They treated us to an excellent home cooked meal! Shrimp linguini, mushroom risotto, Greek and regular salad. They even made a dish for their vegan guest. Our desert was fresh sliced fruits. 6 hours had passed before we tied off back at the harbor. We all had the kind of day that made us all feel it ended too soon! I’ve sailed the Bahamas, St. Maarten, San Diego Bay, Marina Del Ray and back home all around The Lake Erie Islands to Canada and back. This was one of my most memorable sailing experiences!

We had an amazing tour to Dia Island! The food was delicious, the scenery was beautiful, and the crew was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire trip. The sunset was absolutely spectacular and made the experience even more special. We highly recommend this tour, definitely an experience worth having!

Nice excursion with good food. On board there were snorkel masks and a SUP available for free use.
