It’s a beautiful experience, completely unexpected. A brilliant way for children to experience art. Some was even therapeutic
We enjoyed our second visit as much as the first. It’s such a fun way to enjoy art. Don’t forget to see if anything is happening in the gallery next to the cafe. We nearly missed it. The disabled toilets were suitable for a large electric wheelchair. Two small lifts must be used by wheelchair users to access the galleries, cafe and toilets.
Takes about 90mins to 2 hours. Four rooms to go in each based on different themes. Each room links several artists and it’s really clever how the moving images link the different pieces of art. Music is wonderful but felt it was a missed opportunity not saying what the music used was.
We had a really great time during the two hours we spent in the gallery. The four themes were spectacularly displayed creating the illusion that we were part of the exibition! We totally recommend it for all kind of audiences!
Travelled a long way for this “experience” and I can tell you it was not a good one. First of all the staff were not interested when we walked in and barely spoke to us throughout. This was meant to be an immersive experience but with max 5 rooms and nothing more than what my own projector at home could do I am not impressed. This may appeal to children but not for anyone who is actually interested in art. Don’t waste your money. Won’t be coming again!
Brilliant experience. Felt fully immersed! The kids enjoyed it. Will definitely come back.
Excellent immersive art exhibition and overall incredible experience.
This is an unsusual and unique experience. There are different rooms and each room shows an immersive 'film' in which famous art work is brought to life wih movement and sound. It was enjoyable, especially for children. However, I think the number of children around disturbed some visitors- perhaps seperate hours for families/ kids would be a good idea. I think its an excellent place for a school trip as children can recognise works of art in an interesting and fun way.
Entrancing. So much so that I went around some galleries twice. ....................................
I thought it was incredible! The way the art was brought to life and the music that went along with it really did make for an immersive experience. I went about 11am and it wasn’t too busy at all and I was there for maybe an hour and a half? There’s also the opportunity to have your photo taken in the style of the artwork for £8 which I thought was a great little take away. My only slight negative that isn’t to do with the show as much as perhaps the time of day I went, was that it did genuinely feel a bit like a crèche. I have two small children myself so I like to think I have a high tolerance to children but the running around/screaming & crying did sometimes ruin the ambience a bit. Saying that, it means it’s a very family friendly activity because they did seem to be enjoying themselves but I would perhaps suggest going to a later/adults only viewing for a more peaceful experience.
