We saw more than was expected. Took this tour instead of the Princess tour since it was less expensive. Only 26 people in the coach, so a lot of room. Overall an excellent tour. Olga was very informative. We highly recommend this tour.
We were traveling as a family and were a little concerned that a full-day shore excursion might be too tiring for everyone. Thankfully, the day was paced very well. The pickup at the cruise port was convenient, and the vehicle was comfortable and nicely air-conditioned. Our driver was careful, which made us feel relaxed during the journey. The guide was friendly and spoke excellent English, and he did a great job keeping everyone interested, including the younger members of our family. We appreciated having explanations about the history and culture of Marseille, but there was also enough free time for us to enjoy the city ourselves. Spending time in the heart of Marseille was probably our favorite part because we could walk around together, have lunch, and take plenty of family photos. The organization was smooth from beginning to end. We also knew that customer support was available if we needed help, which gave us some extra peace of mind while traveling from the cruise ship. A very enjoyable family day and a nice introduction to Marseille.

We visited several parts of Marseille and also had some free time in the heart of the city to walk around, look at the shops, and grab something to eat. What we liked most was the relaxed pace. We never felt rushed from one place to another. Everything was organized well, and communication before and during the excursion was easy. For a family with different ages and interests, this worked very well. A great way to see Marseille during a cruise stop.
Our guide, Diana, and our driver, David, picked us up in a nice van directly off our boat at the cruise port in Marseille. There were only 4 of us (2 of our party stayed on the boat). Diana provided us with an earbud and battery pack so we could hear her at all times, even inside the car! This was such a great surprise because those of us in the back have struggled to hear our other guides during this trip...and she didn't have to yell. We headed to Aix-en -Provence to have a walk around the historic town, see the many fountains, church, the flower and fruit markets-all of which were beautiful. We stopped for some pastries and coffee and had time to wander around on our own for a bit, purchase souvenirs if we wished, etc. Next we headed back to Marseille, stopped for some photos in the harbor area to see the beautiful scenery and WW1 monument before making our way up the large hill to St Mary's Church with the giant gold leaf Mary on the main tower. It was quite impressive! The view of all of Marseille from the church was amazing! Thanks to David, we made it up and down those narrow streets without issue. After coming back down the hill, we had time in town to walk around. Diana showed me where to buy some cheese and have it vacuum sealed for the journey home. There is so much more to see and do in the south of France, I'm already thinking of another trip....and I'll be contacting Diana again to be my guide.
We were a small group of friends on a cruise and wanted to make the most of our Marseille stop without trying to plan everything ourselves. The excursion gave us a nice balance of sightseeing, information, and free time. Our guide was one of the best parts of the experience. He was personable, spoke excellent English, and clearly knew the city well. We could ask questions about food, neighborhoods, history, and places to visit, and he always had an answer. The transportation was comfortable and air-conditioned, which made the longer drives much easier. The driver was safe and professional throughout the day. Once we reached the central part of Marseille, we had time to explore independently, which everyone in our group appreciated. There was no feeling of being pushed through the attractions just to stay on a schedule. Everything moved at a comfortable pace. Getting back to the cruise port was also straightforward. We came away feeling that we had seen a good amount of Marseille while still having time to enjoy ourselves.
Diana did a great job showing us the highlights of these two beautiful French cities. We enjoyed our walking tours seeing the highlights and sampling local specialities. Our transportation was clean, cool and comfortable for our family of 6. Communication was clear and perfect and we appreciated the pickup and drop off directly from and to the port.
We use Shore Excursions because they are cheaper than on the cruise ship. We have always had great drivers who make it fun and safe. And they get us back to the ship right on time. We would not use any other business but them! Top notch!
Great job of covering a great deal of ground the experience by our guide in Exe Aux Provence was excellent…vehicle was not satisfactory for a multi family tour. Family in the back was soaked when we arrived at other locals… too bad because the guide was great.

A group of us booked the Full Day Marseille Shore Excursion from the Cruise Port on May 4, 2026, during our Mediterranean cruise. The excursion was organized very well, and our guide, Julien, kept the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable throughout the day. We liked that there was a balance between guided sightseeing and free time to explore on our own.
They should stay with you the entire time and let them stop and shop for a coffee or anything you may want instead of leaving you alone for an hour.
