What a great afternoon we had with Pawel. He was so knowledgeable and shared so much history with us. He went above and beyond to make sure we got to do and see everything possible. We’ve done many tours and this was one of the very best. He took such great care of us. 😊

Taking this tour proved to be the ideal decision. In order to maximize our free time, we decided to accompany him on an organized tour while he had some work obligations in the city. We had plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings and learn about the history of city thanks to the guide's expertise, interest, and relaxed pace.

I'm so happy we reserved this. We had an entirely different perspective of Gdansk when we saw it from the water. The commentary aided in our understanding of the history, and the entire trip seemed well planned. If you're in Gdansk, this is a very simple recommendation: for the best views, try to visit on a clear day.

We chose this excursion because we wanted a combination of history and free time rather than spending the entire day following a very strict itinerary. For us, that turned out to be exactly the right approach. Our guide gave us a good introduction to Gdansk and pointed out details we would probably have walked straight past on our own. We particularly enjoyed the architecture around the Old Town and hearing about the city's history and changes over the years. After the guided sightseeing, having time to ourselves was one of the best parts. We could walk at our own pace, stop for a coffee, take photographs, and enjoy the atmosphere without constantly checking where the group was going next. The transportation was comfortable, and the cruise port pickup and return made the day much simpler. We never felt that we were cutting things too close to the ship's departure. For a couple wanting a relaxed introduction to Gdansk during a cruise stop, this was a very pleasant experience.

From start to finish excellent experience

There were several of us traveling together, and we wanted to make the most of our limited time in Gdansk. This turned out to be a very convenient way to see the city without having to figure out transportation ourselves. The pickup from the cruise port was straightforward, and our guide gave us a nice introduction to Gdansk as we headed toward the Old Town. We particularly enjoyed the walking portion because we could actually take our time looking at the architecture, streets, and historic areas instead of simply seeing everything through a vehicle window. One thing we liked was having some free time. We could stop for coffee, take photos, browse a few shops, and just wander around without being with the guide every minute. The guide was happy to answer questions and gave us some interesting local background. The transportation was comfortable and the return to the port was handled well. For a group of friends on a cruise, this was a relaxed and practical way to spend our day ashore.

The van they sent could only accomodate 5 guests with the tour guide. My wife and I were relegated to a small car with no guide and a driver who did not speak English. We drove in silence and had no idea where we were nor what buildings or sites we were passing. Would not recommend this tour.
