If you’re visiting Belgium, these two small towns are absolutely worth seeing they’re full of charm and history. Taking a private tour with Tour Up in Europe made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Our guide, Mav, was engaging, attentive, and made sure everyone had a wonderful time.

Mavliud was great and the sights we saw were amazing. He picked us up at the hotel in Brussels and off we went. He knew to get us to Bruges before the real crowds started. The Waffle place, Lunch Place and Beer Place were all top notch. In Ghent he made sure to fit in the 2 things we wanted: the Altarpiece at St. Bavo's and a brief stop at the MSK museum. The small group aspect was amazing no waiting on others to get to the bus; the ability to alter or add to the itinerary etc all great reasons to do these small tours!

This was a very fun day with Mavlaud. He gave us a good amount of history, showed us around, fed us awesome Belgium food and let us explore a bit on our own. The transportation was comfortable and efficient and it was a great way to take a side trip to Brugge and Ghent from Brussels. He also took some awesome pictures of us along the way. We had a great day!

Overall it was an ok experience with hits and misses and hence I am going with an average rating. What worked well: 1. Good tour of Bruges 2. Our Chauffeur was a really nice person who was super patient with us while we took our own time exploring Ghent 3. Comfortable car What could have been better: 1. Communication was not prompt. Till the morning of the day of the trip, we did not get clear intimation of guide details and I had to follow up multiple times. The guide arrived around 40 minutes late. 2. Multiple things were different from what is promised: a. No water bottles in the car b. No chocolate and beer tastings. The guide will point to a street and say this is where you get good chocolates, that's it c. No private tour in Ghent. The guide left us at Bruges 3. The guide was in so much of a rush. He said his day job starts in the afternoon and has to leave in time for that. So in Bruges, he left us at a restaurant to end the tour and we had to find our own way back. As he rightly suggested, google maps helped us for that but we missed all the scenic routes on the way back since google maps showed some back streets. Either ways, you don't pay so much money for someone to ask you to use Google maps. Overall, a bit disappointed primarily due to the unprofessional approach of the tour operator especially given its a costly premium service.

Do not book with this company, I booked MONTHS in advance and they cancel our trip at 9:50 pm the night before the tour. Expecting us to reschedule for another day. These people need to understand we travel all the way from another continent to see these places and have everything scheduled and cannot accommodate to THEIR times.

Our tour in Bruges and Ghent was absolutely fantastic! Both cities were breathtaking, full of charm and history. What made the experience even more special was our guide Mavliud, who was incredibly friendly. He shared so many interesting stories and facts, and his enthusiasm really brought the cities to life. Everything was so well-organized, It was the perfect mix of sightseeing, history, and local culture.
