What should have been a highlight of our India trip turned into a day of feeling constantly pressured, misled and taken advantage of.
The guide initially seemed friendly, but we were repeatedly diverted from the advertised itinerary towards commercial stops, including a marble shop and jewellery-related visit. We were pressured to buy things and spent a huge amount of time in places we had not booked to visit, while attractions that were actually included in our itinerary were discouraged or rushed.
At the end of the day, we were pressured for additional money despite our understanding that the relevant fees were already included in our booking. We also became genuinely uncomfortable about our safety and felt we could not simply trust what we were being told.
There were also serious discrepancies surrounding payments made during the tour which we reported to Viator.
Viator eventually refunded the booking, but their response was essentially that the tour “did not live up to our expectations” and they offered a 10% discount on a future booking. That completely misses the seriousness of what happened.
We are experienced travellers and have no problem spending money, tipping or supporting local businesses. The issue is being repeatedly pressured and misled… and in our case unfortunately scammed.
Please don’t be fooled by the high rating.. like we did :(

All three principal attractions- Taj Mahal, Baby Taj and Agra Fort- were visited, and the private transportation and return transfer to Delhi were completed as booked.
The sightseeing schedule was adjusted for operational reasons, including concerns about VIP movement affecting access to Agra Fort. The visit was neither cancelled nor denied.
Regarding the allegations of financial misconduct, we categorically state that Lunes Travel does not authorize its guides to demand additional payments for prepaid services, pressure guests into purchases or require visits to commercial establishments. We strongly dispute the suggestion that our company operates dishonestly or engages in scams.
We also wish to highlight that certain allegations concerning additional payments have been inconsistent across the accounts provided, and these discrepancies have been brought to Tripadvisor/Viator's attention for independent review.
We believe that genuine feedback should fairly reflect both the services received and any concerns experienced. We regret that the tour did not meet your expectations, but we cannot accept allegations of deliberate dishonesty against our company without supporting evidence.

A Great Experience.
Everything was personalized and booked to make our experience much smoother and hassle free. Padam communicated everything clearly to ensure we had the best trip possible. The driver was safe and punctual. The guide, Anand was amazing and had tons of information to share. He was also extremely helpful with all of the little needs we had in the day. Definitely recommend this trip.

Perfect Getaway in Agra, New Delhi, India
A truly memorable & perfect short getaway.
As it was our first time there, we had several doubts & curiosity too.
Padam and his team - the tour guide and driver was always assuring and dedicated in what they were doing.
We could not have asked for more.
Our room was clean and comfortable.
The view from the roof top of the Taj Mahal was simply breathtaking!
Staff at the hotel - friendly and helpful.
The dip in the pool ( despite the drizzle) was relaxing.
The vehicle was sturdy and our driver was very careful.
The location of the hotel was ideal and convenient for us to venture on our own.
Kudos for all your efforts in ensuring our safety was taken care of and that we left feeling ecstatic and most certainly a vacation to be cherished!

Very positive experience
The whole experience was smooth and without any issues. Very early pick up, on time from the hotel. Drive to Agra with a stop for a local tea. The guide Asif was very knowledgeable and explained interesting details about Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. Based on my experience, I can definitely recommend Padam's service. It is about 3 hrs drive to Agra from Delhi airport area, although there was no much trafic. We were at Taj Mahal at about 5:20am, perfect time to see this place without crowds and to listen the local wildlife sounds (birds, monkeys), great experience.

Perfectly Guided Taj Mahal Experience
I booked a day trip to Agra from Delhi and used guide services from Padam at Lunes Travel Services — and it was amazing! Padam was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and memorable. His stories about the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort really brought the places to life.
Everything was well organized, and I felt really well taken care of. Highly recommend Padam and his team if you’re planning a trip to Agra!

Great tour guide and driver service
The guided tour was excellent. The sites were amazing and educational. The driver and guide took very good care of us; they even provided cold water, especially when we needed them! :)
