We 4 had the BEST time! Sameh was an excellent guide and introduced us to many new foods. He is a happy guy with tons of energy. Sameh took us to places that there were only locals. He knows so many great places. Beside the food, we had a wonderful boat ride on the Nile and great tuk-tuk ride through the streets of Cairo. Make this a must do when you come to Cairo!
Amazing experience - a must-do! I would give it more stars if possible! Sameh (abuya!) is a wonderful guide and he did an excellent job of showing us around, teaching us Egyptian history and phrases, and of course introducing us to delicious foods and restaurants we never would've found on our own! We opted for the "local" experience and it was a wonderful opportunity to see Cairo beyond the touristy spots. Everyone we met along the way was so friendly and welcoming. There were so many different kinds of foods--as others mentioned, make sure you are hungry. The tuk tuk ride at the end was a hoot and a nice way to finish the evening.
What a great experience with Sameh. The best ever. Tasted so many dushes at tge best places. Excellent value for money. If you vist Cairo, you should do this tour.

The food tour was great - dealing with Cairo traffic isn't however. The food stops were within walking distance of each other in downtown Cairo after being picked up at our hotel. Nice variety of dishes, desserts and drinks. Mr. Sameh was a good guide. Just be careful walking in traffic. Unfortunately, we had to pay additional money to the Uber driver who dropped us off back near our hotel, and he did not take us directly to the hotel entrance (late at night and in darkness).
My guide Sameh was the best. He was well known in his city. Even at one restaurant I got hands on experience cooking my food & took pics with the staff. He also sent me information on the food that we ate
Sameh was a fantastic food tour guide!! He chose a variety of local restaurants and the food was delicious!!!! During the tour we had a boat ride on the Nile and near the end of our tour, we had a tuk tuk ride through the fruit/vegetable souk. We highly recommend this tour!!
This is a great opportunity to eat your way through Cairo’s neighbourhoods with a very engaging host. Lots of fun and way too much food.
Beautiful culinary discovery in Cairo. The visit allows you to taste several local specialties in typical places and learn more about Egyptian culture. The guide was very friendly and organized. A pleasant experience to discover local cuisine in a different way.
