We went on the local happy tour with Vic and Trip where they showed us through all the local food spots you cant find on google maps! They were amazing guides, super friendly and we had a blast hanging out with them. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to learn more about Vietnamese food, culture and history! We hope to come back and visit them again
We had a thoroughly enjoyable half-day tour with the Happy Tour team. They are a young, energetic and impressive team who are knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely enthusiastic about what they do. The tour was well organised and informative, but at the same time relaxed and fun. We learnt a lot and really enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. Thank you to the Happy Tour team for making our time in Ho Chi Minh City even more memorable. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great local tour experience!
This was such a fun experience and I loved the variety of food and places we went. I had a short time in the city, and I’m so glad I did this to see a lot of the districts! They were also extremely flexible and accommodating. I booked solo, and didn’t realize I’d be the only one on the tour (rather than joining a bigger group) but it ended up being okay.
My favourite thing I’ve ever done in any country! Nyguen (Helen) was an amazing guide, felt like seeing the city with an old friend. Very knowledgeable on the history and people, plus the food was amazing! This is an absolute must for anyone going to Ho Chi Minh.
What a great experience this was! Vic was my guide, a young lad with a lot of energy and cheer. I could immediately tell he wasn't going to do a bog standard tour when I put on my duck helmet. Firstly, the food. The selection was really good - great local options that I wouldn't have considered if I were just walking around on my own. My favourite food was the hot plate deconstructed banh mi, and the drink at the China town market was beautifully unique and refreshing, as was hearing the chatty locals share a little story about sapodilla. A personal highlight for sure! The breakfast food adventure took me through some very narrow alleys to secret locations which Vic expertly navigated. We had a great conversations, and Vic could answer many of my questions on Vietnam culture. He went above and beyond, and even gave great advice for things to do afterwards.
We had an awesome morning with Helen and Vic trying lots of local breakfast dishes and drinks. So delicious. We were zipping in and out of little streets and the narrowest laneways but we always felt safe on the back of the scooter. There is no way we would have seen or experienced as much of the outer city areas without these guys as our guides. Highly recommended.
Very enriching, informative and enjoyable experience of Cu Chi tunnels with our guide Kile who told us the history of his country around these tunnels. His humor and good humor accompanied us throughout the experience. Our lunch at a local restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend!
I had the most amazing morning with Helen. Zipping in and out of markets and lane ways. Tasting such delicious food and drinks. Helen is funny, very friendly and extremely informative. I saw more of HMC with Helen than I ever could alone. It was such a fantastic experience. Thank you 🙏🏽
We loved the Half Day Local Breakfast Tour with Saigon Happy Tour — easily the highlight of our time in Ho Chi Minh City! Experiencing the city by motorbike made it even more special — it’s such an authentic way to see the city, and we felt completely safe the entire time. The food stops were fantastic — truly local breakfast spots we never would have found on our own — and our guides shared great insight into daily life, culture, and the neighborhoods we passed through. Both guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and really proud of their food and culture. Beyond the tour itself, Happy and Mimi truly went above and beyond! They helped us book an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise, offering honest recommendations and handling all the details seamlessly. It made our trip so much easier, and the cruise was absolutely unforgettable.
