Calliope was way too loud while on the dock waiting. Not so bad when on board. Band in dinning room was nice Lunch had a nice salad, very well fried crispy catfish, jumbolia, red beans and rice. All very good Ended with a warm bread pudding Included water, ice tea , sweet tea All before we pulled out of port About $220 for 4 people Good narration while traveling the river. Mostly downstream from the dock.
"We had a spectacular time on the Riverboat City of New Orleans jazz brunch cruise. The vessel itself is clean, spacious, and beautiful, with fantastic views from the outdoor decks. The live jazz band was incredible and truly brought the authentic spirit of NOLA to the water. The brunch buffet exceeded expectations, featuring delicious Southern classics like shrimp and grits,waffles, and warm cinnamon rolls. The staff provided top-notch service throughout the entire two hours. It’s a wonderful, relaxing experience that is well worth every penny!"
Great time! Took my elderly mom. Good was okay, but a nice novelty to be on a steamboat. Long lines, be prepared to wait. Staff very friendly.

We showed up for an hour 1130 departure, 11am boarding, things were ahead of schedule! Smooth and easy they started the line at 1030 and did boarding pics and boarded us by 1045 and the line was pretty long. It kept going till sailing at 1135ish. So I advise showing up early, but know if you are late it’s pretty close to accurate. The food was good to excellent, southern eggs and mostly NOLA Cajun. Shrimp Andouille and grits, was killer. Potatoes were great, and the Biscuits were lackluster. Gravy a bit too sweet. Coffee was nice. Staff were great. Found us for the photo delivery.

Very hard to understand the narrating inside dining because everyone was talking. Would be great if there was a QR code to scan to listen to what was being said. I was able to ingest about 50% of what was said. Other than that the experience is definitely a “must do”. Enjoyed the brunch, different levels of seating, and relaxing.
