カフラー王の息子であるメンカウラー王は、ギザ高原に 3 つの主要なピラミッドの中で最小のものを建設しました。これはわずか 65.5 m (215 フィート) の高さでしたが、現在は 62 m (203 フィート) で、側面は 105 m (344 フィート)、角度は 51.3 度です。このピラミッドは建設中に変更され、当初の計画よりもかなり大きくなったと考えられています。元の小さいピラミッドには単純な下降回廊と埋葬室がありましたが、拡大すると、3 つの落とし格子と小さなパネル張りの部屋を備えた新しい回廊が建設されました。さらに後に、別の埋葬室と物置が下の階に追加されました。このピラミッドは、隣接する 2 つのピラミッドと同様に、北側が入り口に面しています。
