Rally was a fantastic tour guide and found this tour very insightful. While plenty of information was shared, experiencing how the community lives and operates had the biggest impact on me, beyond the facts and figures. An experience that will stay with you for life, I strongly recommend.

The modest price is not indicative of the quality of the tour. This was the most informative tour of it kind and an authenticity that simply can't be replicated. He is not a tour guide but a proud citizen of the Kibera community, proudly walked us through HIS community and shared with us the everyday life of those living in Kibera, visiting local school classrooms where we had the opportunity to meet the children. Rally, was absolutely amazing. He grew up in Kibera, and that connection is evident from the moment you start walking with him. Everyone knows him! We couldn’t go far without someone greeting him, stopping to talk, or saying hello. You quickly realize that he isn’t simply a tour guide bringing visitors through the neighborhood—he is genuinely part of this community and gives back to it. What I appreciated most was how authentic the experience felt. There was no pressure to shop, no taking us from place to place just to spend money, and nothing felt staged for tourists. We walked through the community, learned about everyday life, and visited a local school where we had the opportunity to meet the children. It was eye-opening, educational, and incredibly humbling. You can also see that Rally is respected within the community and takes pride in sharing its story while supporting the people who live there. Knowing that this tour also contributes to the community is another reason to book it. If you’re looking at different tours and wondering whether you should choose this one —YES…BOOK IT. An eye-opening experience. Rally was so accommodating and flexible. He shares his first-hand knowledge of the slum, the school, and the people living there.

Recommended experience off the beaten tourist path to discover something more about the real life of a slum. For those who want to open their heart and mind.

It is a shocking and heartwarming experience. The lack of sanitation and basic facilities makes me wonder how could people live there. But the same time I see people innovate and persevere in such environment. Best wish to all residents there and you deserve a better future! Rally is a wonderful guide. I feel safe and welcome in Kibera. It is nice to see smiles in children's face. I wish my donation could could help them in a small way!

The best part is that the experience is at a different angle than safari. I was able to experience the real situation and warmth of Kibera. The interaction with the children and their smiles are unforgettable memories. When I participate, I take lots of individually wrapped chocolates with me, and when I hand them out to the children, they are happy.
