We booked a one-hour family photoshoot in Sydney and while we were grateful this could be arranged at short notice, we came away disappointed with both the experience and the final gallery. The photographer was friendly and technically competent, and there are a few photos we genuinely like. However, much of the session felt inefficient and lacking in clear direction. A significant amount of time was spent trying different poses, angles and potential locations that did not result in usable images, and I had to suggest moving to a different spot myself. For a professional photoshoot with limited time, I had expected more confident guidance and a clearer plan. The final gallery also contained many near-duplicate images. While around half were acceptable, very few had the quality or impact that genuinely delighted us. The overall result just felt repetitive and did not fully capture the variety or memorable “hero” images we had hoped for. We’ve had much better experience with other platforms such as Flytographer.
