Unmotivated guide,
there are only a few animals to see in a larger room. Our guide just wanted to go home quickly and processed us without any care.
The admission price is much too high for what you get.
You can perhaps look at every single animal for a minute, then you have to move quickly to the next animal. It is not particularly appealing and was definitely not worth the money!

First and last time
Small reptile-ranary with a visit duration of less than 30 minutes and about $25 cost per person. I have seen others in the past with definitely many more species and especially more immersive.

Over priced and totally underwhelming. Avoid!
An expensive 'tour' conducted by a guide who wanted to be anywhere else and gave very generalised information most 7 year olds would possess. The building itself was somewhat dilapidated and the containers holding the specimens appeared to have been built and last cleaned in the 1970s. Very poor value for money. A rip off. And the same can be said for the butterfly house.

Worst tour, rushed through and could barely see animals, big disappointment!
This was a major disappointment! First the road there was in horrible condition, suggest having 4 wheel drive and not carrying about your kidneys bouncing around.
I was the only person on the tour which was fine but I felt like they were trying to rush me through everything to be and to leave. It was sold as a ~2hr tour but it was over in 30 mins and that includes spending a few minutes looking at the gift store items. Just as I was selecting items to purchase, I was told the gift shop was closed. It would have been nice to know that before I spent time looking at things.
The actual room with the snakes and frogs was the major disappointment. The terrariums they were kept in had so much unnecessary art drawn on the outside that you could barely see through it to see the animals. When I tried to take pictures it was almost impossible to find a part of the glass that was clear to take the photo from. This coupled with the guide rushing through everything made this the worst tour of my trip so far. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. Save your money!

Wonderful Exhibit of Amphibians and Reptiles
Excellent selection of local reptiles and amphibians with a knowledgeable guide.
The facility and animals were well kept.

Nice experience
It was great to see the snakes close up and to learn so much about them. It was a great way to spend some time while it was raining heavy

Excellent tour of the cable car and hanging bridges.
Well, what can I say, the place is extremely beautiful, full of tranquility. Their well-planned tours at a fairly fair price, worth repeating.

Snakes and Amphibians
The room was very dim they didn't have the enclosure lighting on during the tour. Learned a few facts about the many snakes and amphibians of Costa Rica. There was only one lizard to be seen to the dismay of my 7 year old who was looking forward to seeing different reptiles aside from snakes.
Guide was good.

Bridges are good, the vivarium is just as good!
We've been through the suspension bridges. The course and the views were beautiful. We would have liked some interpretive panels.
Our favorite goes to visit the reptile vivarium. We were guided by young Jose, who shared with us a wealth of information he gets from the scientists working on the spot. He was keen and passionate and totally justified the cost of entry we initially found high.
We were very excited to witness the reintegration of the most venomous snake into its vivarium...
