It was ok. It was not expensive, so I was not let down. However, I was looking for an audio tour of the city in which I didn’t really need to enter the buildings. This tour would be best if you pay admission to the places it brings you too. Some of the stops felt pointless to walk to because it wasn’t much to see from the outside. If you plan to pay admission to these locations, it is a great guide to the city.

Milan apparently decided that some of its best stories belong behind a ticketed door. We’re glad the guide still felt worthwhile overall. We hope your next audio-guided walk is more street-level — and earns a few more stars.

Essential
Great tour, done over 2 days, good help to not go the wrong way and interesting commentary. Very good experience to repeat in another city.

Good offer
It was a well-guided and informative tour through interesting places in the city. The information was well presented and quite engaging. You can also move off the beaten path at any time and take enough time for your own exploration. It is especially helpful for short stays in the city to gain some orientation.

Exceeded expectations
I only bought this audio tour because my regular tour was cancelled due to May 1. I was not disappointed. Once you download everything on the app, it’s very easy to navigate. The app is connected to Google Maps, so you are never lost and can get to your next spot. The information is amazing! You don’t have to deal with lines, human guides (let’s be honest, some are not well prepared), and not being able to hear. You get your private tour. I’m very impressed with the app and the tour. Great for solo travelers. Would definitely recommend!

Milan highlights in just one day
A fascinating walk with a wide variety of sights, both ancient and modern. I really liked that you can stop and rest at any time, whereas city tours with a live guide usually leave you feeling drained. Can be combined with a visit to the Duomo.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted that the TouringBee audio guide made your walk through Milan both fascinating and relaxing.
It’s great to hear that you enjoyed the mix of ancient and modern sights — Milan truly shines when explored at your own rhythm. And yes, being able to pause, rest, or wander freely is one of the biggest advantages of an audio guide compared to a live tour. We're glad that flexibility made your experience more enjoyable.
And combining it with a visit to the Duomo is a fantastic idea — a perfect Milanese duo!
We’d love to accompany you again on your future travels and help you discover more cities with the same comfort and curiosity.

It's not the same as in...
It’s not the same as a group with a guide, but when those options are not available it’s an option not to miss the most interesting thing about a city.

Highly recommend this tour
This is a self-guided, at-your-own-pace tour, utilizing your own mobile device and a headset. The information given for each of the stops were well-written, informative and even funny at places. We enjoyed listening to it and learning as we go. The only trouble we had was getting from one point to the next. Most of the points are not far apart from the previous one, but even that we struggled with the directions. We had iPhone 13 and our cell provider was Verizon, we purchased 30-day international travel plan for each of our phones. The TouringBee app didn’t have the address for each point, it had a map that showed street names when you enlarge it to a certain size. I tried it at hotel prior to taking the tour. But on that day it was raining lightly, and there are a lot of people in the Duomo area, we couldn’t get the map to show the street names. For example, the third stop was Royal Palace, I used this name in Apple map, then Google map, they both took me farther behind the actual palace. We eventually got the right locations, but there were some struggles. Other people with other devices and in other weather conditions this kind of thing may not happen. I want to mention the kind helps I received from the operator when I couldn’t find the information about the TouringBee app and how to download the tour data, the operator responded quickly, kindly and patiently, I was able to get it set up in time for the tour.

Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review — it’s clear you put time and care into your feedback, and we truly appreciate that. We're very glad to hear that you enjoyed the content of the tour itself — we put a lot of heart into making it informative and even a little fun along the way!
We also completely understand your frustration with the navigation between stops. While the app includes a built-in map and GPS functionality, visibility can vary depending on device settings, zoom level, and even weather and crowds — as you experienced. Your example with the Royal Palace is especially helpful for us as we work on improving the clarity of directions.
Thank you as well for your kind words about our support team — we're always here to help quickly and are happy we could assist you in time.
We hope the overall experience still left you with great memories — and we’d love to guide you again in another city, perhaps with better weather and even smoother navigation next time 🌍🧳✈️.

If you you are going to Milano and don't know what you should visit there...
It seems like there is not much to see in this city except for Cathedral, but this audio guide will show you a lot of different places which actually worth seeing. And also tell you some interesting stories about them. If you want to see the city, it is always much more fun to have an audio guide with you, then just walking around.
