George was very professional. Provided historical details regarding the country as well as individual foods! It was overall a great experience.

My tour guide was a great vibe & made sure i felt comfortable since i was outside my element. The car was clean & and well kept. He made sure i tasted real Caribbean culture at every stop. Make sure you go to a global exchange to get some local currency first for the different vendors on the tour. The beef patty & jerk chicken had so much flavor with every bite, Perfect amount of spice. The local fruit was a whole new experience that was very refreshing. The rums i got to sample were sweet & smooth that you won’t get anywhere else. Money well spent and glad i took the opportunity to go because this beat the resort food by a mile.

This is a short excursion, but fun going to eat and interact with the locals. It was so much fun with our guide, George.

George was an amazing tour guide. We had a great time on the food and also tried some local rum. George also gave us a little history about Jamaica. All and all, the food tour was a wonderful experience.

Book this tour NOW! George is absolutely amazing and the tour was perfect for my husband and I! I had a mix up with the booking dates and George did everything in his power to accommodate us even though it was my fault. George took us to several local places and provided very good educational information about the land, food and people. The food was AMAZING!! Like so good. By the end of the tour it was like leaving family because he made the tour that enjoyable. We plan on returning to Jamaica and he plan on booking with him again.

The tour consisted of my cousin and I. George picked us up, at the time he communicated to me via text. He started by asking us our goal for the tour and we stressed the desire to endulge in authentic Jamaican food! He asked if we liked ice cream or fruit and we declined both. We were interested in the meat dishes. We stopped at a place off the main road and had a chance to enjoy a real Jamaican patty (Tastee). We selected the jerk chicken. That was the BEST patty! We passed on the water since we had our own. We were able to shop for souvenirs and taste various rums. There were 5 different tastings. That was enough for us, but I am sure you could have asked the owner for more. We were able to barter on the prices. I was quoted $8, they came down to $6 and I tipped the lady who helped us, the extra $2. Next stop was a place along side the road where I was able to enjoy the Caribbean Sea. The weather was perfect and peaceful. We rested there for about 20-30 minutes. This was great for us since the patty filled us up and we were not ready for more food. Since this was a private tour, we requested additional stops that weren’t too far out of the way so George kindly agreed to our additional stops. Our final tasting was a full meal of our choice at a roadside restaurant. I had fried chicken, bean and rice and my cousin had curry goat. The portion size was huge and able to be shared. We sat, ate and talked. I learned alot about the impact of the hurricane on tour operators and the Jamaican community. George has a very laid back personality and I am very high strung and time driven person. Remember that the Jamaican culture is laid back and people are very friendly. I learned to sit back and just take it all in. It was a great tour and as a travel agent, I would definitely recommend George to my clients. He can curate all types of tours to meet your need and he does airport transportation too! The PRIVATE tour operators cost more than shared tours, but the personal attention makes it worthwhile. We also received a small bottle of Jamaican rum as our departure gift. I would encourage everyone to try this tour or others offered by George.

The private rum tasting was just a bottle of rum in the back seat. We stopped at a few food locations but for the price we did not think it was worth it!
