We had 2 activities booked with this company (volcano irazu and turrialba and hangings in monteverde) through the site civitatis. They didn’t show up to look for us at the first one and we lost an activity of our vacation, that is they ruined our day. The other tour was not confirmed, so we prefer to cancel. Added to the bad time we had to acquire another activity of rushing and paying more expensive. In conclusion, a disaster. Too bad civitatis outsourced this kind of company that they don't care about the customer. The response provided by the company was subsequently not true, and this shows that they only try to justify themselves with lies. The tours we contracted with other companies were carried out in optimal conditions.
Hola Angel, gracias por tu comentario. Lamentablemente el mal clima y las fuertes lluvias no permitieron que se pudiera desarrollar el tour al volcán Irazú. Sin embargo, se le ofreció otro tour en su lugar (Volcán Poás), pero no obtuvimos respuesta a tiempo por lo cuál tampoco se pudo llevar a cabo. Por otro lado, con respecto a los puentes colgantes de Monteverde el mínimo para llevar a cabo el tour era de 3 personas y solo teníamos 2 personas por lo cual se le informó que si nadie más reservaba no se podía llevar a cabo el tour y fue lo que pasó. Lamentamos realmente lo sucedido, pero es algo que se sale de nuestro control.
The guide was nice, but shared little to no information about the tour and the places we were visiting. He just drove us around and let us walk in the stops. It felt more of a driven than a guide, and this was a pity. However, we are thankful to him for bringing us around and driving relentlessly for all day until dusk.
A great tour with Freddy, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great day! We visited Irazu and Turrialba volcanoes and then on to Cartago (make sure you visit the walled garden here - it’s beautiful) along with hotel pickup and drop off.
This tour was a full day of happy surprises. Our guide introduced us to things we would never have noticed on our own (there is a mini Golden Gate Bridge replica in San Jose), and he was remarkably patient, accommodating and gracious with his time. We were allowed to wander and explore each site as long as we wanted (the Santiago Apostol Parish ruins in Cartago are absolutely beautiful). Fun fact - in order to be classified as a town in Costa Rica it must contain 5 specific things. Take this tour and find out what they are. :-)
