Our tour guide Émile was fantastic. He was very engaging with our whole tour group. He knew so much and taught us all so much about Avignon, the history of the Papacy, the history of France. It was amazing to see and learn about so much history in one tour. I highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Emile!
This was a very good tour for learning about the history of Avignon and where to shop and eat today. Be prepared to walk a lot but it’s sooo worth it.

Guide,emilio, was very good. Had excellent rapport with all of the tour members ~17 from germany, Sweden, australia, New zealand, n&s carolina, florida, california. able to impart knowledge to those who had previously done similar tours so that everyone got something from the tour. Pace was good. One person opted out of climbing stairs in the castle and emilio made sure the guest was well cared.

The guy was knowledgeable about the history of Avignon. She was willing to share stories point out highlights the trip to the Palace was amazing her knowledge of construction, what was going on currently in the palace was also very useful. We stopped for a wine tasting at Les Halles. the wine host was a was knowledgeable and fun all in all. It was a good day. I’d recommend this particular tour to anyone wanting to get a good grounding in Avignon.

Visit went very well, the place is huge and the visit takes time, allow 1.5 to 2 hours. View from the top overlooks Avignon and the bridge. And upon leaving you can visit the famous Saint-Bénézet bridge. With the little shops.
