We booked this experience in advance as it was a must do for us when visiting Corralejo, and we are so glad that we did as it was one of the most incredible sights we have seen. We were instructed to dress warmly and that we would be picked up from our hotel at a set time via WhatsApp which was really helpful. We were only a five minute drive away from the dunes, reassuring if you, like me, are not a great passenger. We did this in August and had on a hoodie and shorts, which we found to be warm enough but this may differ depending on where you’re visiting from - if in doubt, layer up as it is quite exposed!
After a short walk from the road down to the dunes, our Star Guide, Karen, instructed us to lie down on our provided rugs and blankets whilst she sorted out the camera and telescope set up. During this time, we got to see plenty of shooting stars (the Perseids shower). With our binoculars, which were also provided, we got to see the moon before it set, Venus, and many different constellations. Karen’s explanations and understand of the stars was unbelievable, and definitely the sign of someone who loves what they do. As our experience started slightly later than planned, we got to see so many different sights in the night sky, including Saturn, the Andromeda galaxy, the Milky Way, and many more. We were blown away at the quality of the tour which included high quality photos of the night sky. Even without the telescope and binoculars, we would have been delighted with our experience.
An absolute must for anyone visiting Corralejo, we would definitely do this again if we were to return to the area!

Fantastic, the enthusiasm that Karen had was amazing. It felt like we had been lifted to another place in the stars.
Saturn, Milky way, the moon like we have never seen before, even M6 (not the road).
Shooting stars appeared on demand.
Highly recommend

Wonderful experience
Karen is extremely passionate which really brings the experience to life.
We got very lucky and saw the Milky Way, and Karen talked us through multiple celestial objects and let us view certain things through the telescope.
All in all a perfect night and a great activity to do with your partner!

Mesmerising and perfect for newbies and not new to it
Myself and my 2 daughters (16 and 11) saw the Fuerte sky last night with Karen. Wow , what an experience !! Being able to look at the moons surface , Jupiter and seeing star clusters etc through the telescope was breathtaking
Karen showed us how to look for the star “shapes” (newbie here ) and what stars were where .. for complete newbies, it was mesmerising to see and understand more about the sky !! The time flew by and u don’t need to bring a thing
