I wasn’t blown away by the show to be honest, they had a man as one of the lead can can girls gyrating around on stage in lingerie which just didn’t sit right with me. It felt inappropriate and not something I wanted to see. I felt the signing wasn’t as good as other west end shows I’ve seen and I wasn’t sold on the leading lady who played Satine. She was a little inconsistent in her performance. Having said that I enjoyed the second half - it was much much better than the first half but I still wouldn’t recommend or go to see it again.
If you like Musical Theatre then Moulin Rouge won't disappoint. We sat in the Royal Circle and had a great view of the stage with plenty of leg room.
Lovely show to enjoy. The actors and actresses are just amazing the show was very well done, the location of the theatre has easy access by tube or bus. They allow to drink inside the theatre that I don’t see any harm the problem is when people are tipsy and they don’t follow the rules. I had 2 ladies next to me very drunk security did not remove them from the show. I was very disappointed since affected to enjoy 100% the show. Advice to book in advance tickets they gel sold out quickly.
I have wanted to see this for a long time, well worth the wait! The Piccadilly theatre is transformed into the Moulin Rouge club, with vibrant colourful lighting before the show starts!. The sound and colour of this brilliant musical with the interaction of the audience from the performers was superb. Dancing and singing to die for, that takes you away for two and a half hours of sheer fantasy. Maybe went over the heads of some people , The couple next to me did not applaud once or stir during the rousing finale and standing ovation. each to their own! Would love to see this again. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
We booked the Ambassador lounge and had high expectations. The toilet was flooded and there was only one to use, the half time drinks did not appear although the bill did. (We didn’t pay) .The show is very confusing as it’s a mish mash of songs and has no identity. It’s the first time I’ve walked out of a London show.
We have watched this before when it came to Seattle. This time, it was 100x better because we were able to get the can-can seats cheaper than getting decent tickets in NYC or even Seattle. We loved the musical and the experience of being up close to the stage.
my partner and I went to the show today and I honestly could not recommend it enough from start to finish it was phenomenal. There was so many highlights it was an explosion of comedy, dance, singing, acting and pure talent. I have to mention the actress(Karis Anderson) who played the main character Satine was honestly outstanding I COULD NOT TAKE MY EYES OF HER she was captivating the level of talent was unreal everytime she sang she brought tears to my eyes she is genuinely inspiring. The whole cast was meant for there role outstanding performance from everyone x
On 30th May at 19:30, my girlfriend and I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, and honestly, we are still talking about it. From the second we arrived, the entire evening felt magical, glamorous, and incredibly special. Firstly, a huge thank you to ATG Tickets for making the whole experience seamless from start to finish. Everything was easy, well organised, and professionally handled, building excitement for what turned out to be one of the best nights we’ve had together. We treated ourselves to the Can Can seats, and wow — what an experience! Sitting so close to the stage completely transformed the evening. The energy from the performers, the intricate costumes, the breathtaking detail of the set, and the sheer atmosphere made us feel like we had stepped directly into the world of Moulin Rouge itself. It felt immersive, intimate, and genuinely unforgettable. Every moment felt alive, and we caught details that simply wouldn’t be possible from further back. Worth every single penny. The show itself was absolutely sensational. The cast were phenomenal, delivering powerful vocals, emotional performances, and flawless choreography throughout. The talent on stage was simply incredible. Every scene felt bigger and more spectacular than the last, with jaw-dropping staging, stunning lighting, and a soundtrack that had us smiling, emotional, and completely captivated all evening. The passion and energy from every performer was something truly special. A massive highlight of the night was also the Ambassador Lounge, which added such a luxurious and relaxing touch to the whole experience. Before the show and during the interval, it was the perfect place to unwind in a calm, elegant setting away from the crowds. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were fantastic — attentive, friendly, and genuinely helping to make the evening feel extra special. It elevated the experience from a brilliant theatre trip to an unforgettable occasion. This wasn’t just a theatre show — it became a memory my girlfriend and I will treasure for a very long time. If you’re thinking about seeing Moulin Rouge!, do it. And if you can, treat yourself to the Can Can seats and Ambassador Lounge experience because it truly takes an already spectacular evening to another level. Without question, one of the most incredible West End experiences we’ve ever had. We cannot wait to return! **10/10 — spectacular, emotional, immersive and completely unforgettable
I was genuinely surprised by how disappointing this show was. Unfortunately, I found it boring from the very beginning. The music was excessively loud, and the production lacked any clear identity or direction. Rather than telling a compelling story, it felt like a collection of unrelated performances put together without much thought. The overall cast and choreography felt tired and dated, lacking the energy, freshness, and charisma I expected from a major West End production. The show could really benefit from a more modern approach and a refreshed cast. Given the reputation of the production, I expected something far more engaging and memorable. Instead, I found it frustrating and uninspiring. Sadly, I was so disappointed that I decided to leave before the end. Considering the ticket price, it was very poor value for money and not something I would recommend.
Went for a friends birthday (her choice). Usually love the west end but I didn’t enjoy this show. Saying that I wouldn’t have picked to see this particular show. I found some of the actors a bit wooden and thought there was little chemistry between the two main roles. The singing and dancing were good which made up for some of the acting. We had seats at the back of the stalls and had to lean a couple of times to see the staging / scenery as there was a low ceiling over the grand circle above. Can’t recall anything on the booking site that suggests they are restricted view. I have watched the film but didn’t really recall the storyline much. What I found most odd was the mix up / mash up of random pop songs which made it come across as cheap and cringy in parts. I think more suitable or original songs should have been created for this show rather than making it more like a bad comedy in parts/ cheesy pop tunes. The first half I was thinking when is this ending however the second half I thought was better. Also just to add we had people in the row in front singing away and one rather drunk woman downing a bottle of booze and going back and forth to the toilet during the show and at one point falling onto a couple on her way back to her seat. Hardly theatre etiquette you expect in the west end. Would not recommend. Worst show I have seen in London (and I’ve seen a lot)
