Dirty horrible place do not book, Viator promoting this Hammam, we were told the cost includes oil massage but was refused by the Hammam
Fun local experience. Held at the Sultan Turkish Bath and Spa. The Viator pricing includes sauna and a wash. Massage is an additional service which will be about $150. It was a really wonderful and relaxing day and a new experience. A different excursion than walking through more cruise towns shopping, i loved it.
Everything went smoothly, timely pick up, excellent presentation of what was available to us with lots of different options for types and durations of massage as well as additional services. all the additional services seemed reasonable from a price standpoint. Of course what you pay is for a very basic spa experience and then to get full massage etc. you pay more so the price is do add up. But you would have to get a taxi from the main city area to the spa anyways which would probably cost with the basic cost of the experience was but honestly I didn't price that The massage itself – I did 50 minutes deep tissue – the depth was OK but inconsistent, deep in some places not so deep in others, the therapist was fluent in English though so I could communicate about that. Also it felt amazingly rushed like "let's get this massage over with as soon as possible " and my partner who had a separate massage felt the same. Two of the other others I went with felt theirs was fine I wouldn't go back to that place nor would I especially recommend it given the number of options available but I'm glad we did it
We were picked up from the cruise port and driven to the Turkish bath where we were greeted by the owner Memo and given the details of the bath and massage options as extras , I chose the extra of a massage and facial . The Turkish bath was great fun and the staff were brilliant. The massage was absolutely amazing and we relaxed whilst we waited on our return bus . He dropped us to bodrum town centre on request . I would highly recommend, we had the best time . Keep doing what your doing
This was the worst Turkish bath experience I've ever had. The whole thing lasted no longer than 10 mins. Despite the listing stating the experience was 2 hours. Massage was not included and was pushed on as an add on. Would not recommend.
Okay but not great. They had clearly overbooked the place. The sauna was fine, but the Hammam or Turkish bath had no steam, had mold on the ceiling and was packed with people. We had to wait 45 min before it was our turn, there was no cleaning of the bench between clients and you were scrubbed and “massaged” in front of strangers. The upsell was intense from the start. I wouldn’t recommend.
I am writing this review to caution others about this experience. My wife and I recently booked the Turkish Baths tour through Viator and it was, unfortunately, a disappointing and uncomfortable day. The problems began immediately with the pickup. While other guests from our cruise ship received clear instructions on where to meet the minibus, whereas we were given vague directions. This resulted in us getting lost and delaying the entire group, which was an embarrassing and frustrating start. The photos are nothing like the actual place. Upon arrival, we were presented with a menu of expensive add-ons. Due to the group dynamic and the fact that everyone else in our van opted for the extra €100 per person massage package, we felt significant social pressure to do the same to avoid being left out. This added €200 to the cost of our visit, making it astronomically more expensive than the base Viator price. The experience itself was not as advertised. The total duration of the Viator pre-booked element was meant to be two hours, and the paid-for massage itself was supposed to add on another 70-80 minutes but was only 55 minutes. The total time we were there was 2 hours but that included the extra time for the massage. There were 6 people being massaged in the same room. The owners were pleasant but were continually smoking. Most concerning of all was the Turkish bath (hamam) segment. The male attendants performed the scrub and foam wash on the men first, which was fine. However, they then asked all the husbands to leave the room, leaving our four wives alone with these two male attendants who then proceeded to perform the intimate washing process on them, which involved adjusting/unfastening their swimwear. We found this highly inappropriate and it made our wives feel uncomfortable and vulnerable. There should absolutely be female attendants for female guests. In summary: a disorganised pickup, hi strong sales tactics that massively inflate the cost, a experience that is shorter than advertised, and a lack of consideration for guest comfort and appropriateness. I cannot recommend this tour and suggest you look for a more professional and reputable Turkish bath experience in Bodrum, if one exists.
Very safe and enjoyable experience. We were picked up and returned at the cruise port. Very affordable and certainly with the money.
10 out of 10! Great service! Skin feels amazing! It is a different experience than the one I had in Istanbul. Men and women were separated, but in this one they were not. I found it interesting that men were giving the scrub and foam baths. I didn't mind, but someone may. They did accommodate those in the group that preferred a woman.
Transportation setvice was provided. The experience was great, one of the highlights of my trip. Relaxing, accommodating, and fun! Exceptional value for the peice!
