If want a couple of hours out in a boat looking at little tree covered islands in the lovely waters around Helsinki, it's a great choice. I don't feel like there was enough to see- it's mostly trees and a lot of boats and vacation properties but that's about it.- but the price of the cruise was so low it's hard to complain about it.
We did this cruise on a beautiful afternoon. The scenery was great. The commentary was sparse and there was only one canal — maybe 50 feet long, if that. It’s really an archipelago cruise with a tiny canal thrown in.

Started on time and was very informative. Two floors so you can choose to be outside or in. There are lots of cool islands and a miltary fort now tourist attraction. Lots to see. Beautiful views. Swing bridge is fun to go into a canal. Highly recommend.
The Strömma Canal Cruise in Helsinki was a pleasant boat trip, but there was surprisingly little canal involved. Apart from roughly ten metres of actual canal, most of the tour took place on open water. The scenery was nice and the boat ride itself was enjoyable, but I found the name “Canal Cruise” somewhat misleading. Based on the name, I expected to spend considerably more time cruising through canals. If you are looking for a sightseeing boat tour around Helsinki, this can still be worth doing – just don't expect much of a canal cruise.
Not a canal. More like the Gulf of Finland tour. Nice way to just relax and see the surrounding islands off the city's harbor.
A lovely relaxing boat ride.the commentary was very informative of the area we were shown. Blankets available were an added bonus!
More about the islands than the one canal featured in the photo - it is not Amsterdam - so whilst it was interesting we felt the title of the ride was a stretch - the one canal we went along was a small fraction of the 90 mins on the boat - saw some beautiful island houses but wrap up, even in August the wind was intense. a harmless way to spend time in the city.

Very cool experience to discover the surroundings of the city and its many islands. Free Wi-Fi on board allows you to listen to information in several languages. Blankets are distributed in case of cool temperatures.
