Our Anchorage Sightseeing & Food Tour is approximately 4.5 hours and is designed to combine a sightseeing tour of Anchorage with several local food stops. We understand that this length and format may not be the right fit for every traveler. We also take your comments about the food seriously. As we plan for the 2027 season, we are currently reevaluating our food stops and menu selections with the goal of improving both the quality and variety of the experience. We appreciate the feedback and will use it as we continue to improve the tour.

We try to feature places that are meaningful to Anchorage, including Lucky Wishbone, which was recognized with a 2025 James Beard America’s Classics Award. Our goal is to give guests a mix of local favorites, Alaska flavors, and sightseeing throughout the tour. We also understand your point about wanting more savory options and fewer desserts. That is helpful feedback, and it is something we can take into consideration as we continue refining the tour. Food and operating costs in Alaska are also quite high, which does affect the overall price of the experience, but we still want every guest to feel the tour was worth what they paid. We’re also concerned by your comments about the amount of time spent discussing the guide rather than Anchorage. Our guides are encouraged to share some personal stories to help make the experience more engaging, but those stories should never overshadow the history, culture, and places our guests came to learn about. We appreciate you being specific about what fell short. Feedback like this helps us review both our food selections and the way the tour is delivered.
