I had a wonderful experience with the tour to Sanahin / Haghpats. Kudos to our guide Nina and driver Ashot. Tour: At each site, Nina gave an explanation of the grounds and was ready to answer any questions we have. She is knowledgeable about Armenian culture and history and she is proud to show it. We have about an hour for each site, with 20-25 minutes to spare for photos and bathroom breaks. Duration: Note that this tour takes 13-14 hours due to the long driving time. So it may not be suitable for everyone. The tour starts at 9 am from the Hyur office in Yerevan, with an optional 8:15 pickup at my hotel. There are bathroom breaks during throughout the tour, and free water was provided. There were 2 places that require 100 dram for the bathrooms, so it’s helpful to bring some coins. Weather: forecast says 22C, actual temperature was more like 30C. All the attractions are in a valley so the hot air gets trapped inside the valley. Attractions: Most sites are spectacular except for Aramyants castle which is in a very sorry state and not really ready for tourists. I hope there will be more awareness and money flowing in to help bring it back to its former glory. Lunch: not included with the tour and have to pay extra. The view is spectacular from the restaurant, but food served is basic.

We were on a tour with guide Eduard and driver Aro along the route Akhpat - Sana'in - Zarni - Parni, the Aramyan's palace, and Akhtala. Our guide led a very fascinating tour of the historical and cultural sites we visited in Lori Marshes. Eduard has extensive knowledge of the sights. In a word, a person loves their job! I will definitely take the tours with him when I am on vacation next year. It is also worth mentioning the comfortable driving of driver Aro throughout the trip. Thank you!

Had a great experience with Edward and Aro. Day was long but never boring. Reach of information and humour, safe drive and stunning views. Very nice lunch place. Edward gave us so many stories not only about Armenian culture and history but also religion, national minorities, and even Georgian influence. Highly recommend. Perfect timing info+free time

Perfect tour. The most interesting monasteries of the 4 visits made. Edward, the guide, was very good with the explanations. David, the driver, drove very carefully.

The whole tour was fun, informative and worth every dollar. Karen was a fantastic driver and Edward was our extremely informative tour guide who had a wealth information to share with us keeping the tour interesting at all times.

Such amazing experiences with Nina our guide. She did a fantastic job on explaining every single stop we had. I truly enjoyed it. Our drive Samuel was amazing too, smooth driving and he was friendly with everyone. I absolutely recommend this experience.
