Guide "Andy" provided an interesting and informative tour, explaining points of interest (in English and French) and ensuring everyone's comfort and safety. The palace design is fascinating and gorgeous: the tiles, wood carvings, arches, gardens, etc. I feel that I learned so much and enjoyed the experience much more by having a guide.
Carlos Fuentes was the best guide we could have gotten. He explains things great and made it a super cool experience.

We booked an English speaking small tour of the Alhambra and enjoyed our visit. We found our meeting point after going to the wrong place at first - it was easy enough to find with google maps. Booked in, got our numbered stickers and paid an euro each for earphones (we didn’t have any with the right lead/jack) and had a coffee in the cafe while we waited for our guide. She gathered us together (there were about 11 of us). She conducted the tour in Spanish and English via the audio sets we were given (as we were a mixed group). We needed passports to enter the Alhambra but this was quick and we we were given a great tour of the palaces and garden (10-1.30) with a 20 min break (loo stop). She covered the history and pointed out details of what to look for and take in. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. It didn’t feel rushed - it felt like a full tour of the key highlights with lots of information about the history of the place in context of Spanish /world history.
The visit to the Alhambra is worth the whole trip to Andalusia. Crazy, fascinating place that fills the eyes with beauty and mystery. Hector, our guide, superbly accompanied us on this tour, recounting with deep passion, excellent knowledge, and great engagement the history of this site, which is rightly named a World Heritage site. Absolutely recommended.

We had an appointment for a guided tour of the gardens and the palace in a small group in French. We were welcomed at the welcome visitor center then taken care of by Andy, our guide. There were only 4 of us, an American couple and us French people. The guide conducted the entire tour in French and in English. It was great! He knew how to build a connection between the group members. He alternated all the historical explanations in the 2 languages. He knew how to keep our attention for 3 very rich hours! We finished the tour enchanted. Bravo to Andy for these human qualities and his professionalism.
