We had an absolutely incredible time celebrating my birthday on this adventure. Our guide Dayro was funny, kind, taught us about local nature and culture, and took amazing care of us all day long. It’s 100% worth it, whether you’re visiting the country for the first time or want to do something fun for the day. The scenery is beautiful, the food was awesome, everyone we met was so friendly, each activity was more fun than the next (the waterslide was definitely a favorite though!) and we were able to spot some cool creatures like Howler Monkeys and Coati. We can’t wait to come back and try another excursion with On The Road Costa Rica and Dayro!

We had an incredible experience with On The Go Costa Rica! From the moment we booked our excursion until the very end of the day, everything was seamless. Our guide, Dayro, was absolutely phenomenal. He was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely passionate about sharing Costa Rica with us. He picked us up right on time, got us safely to every destination, and made sure we were exactly where we needed to be for each activity. What really set him apart was that he joined us throughout the excursions, which made us feel comfortable, safe, and completely taken care of the entire day. He answered every question we had, shared so much about the local culture and wildlife, and made the experience so much more meaningful. Great host and transportation, super fun experience! You enter a park at Rincon de La Vieja which has all sorts of excursions nearby and on site. Great way to do lots of the fun Costa Rica has to offer

We had two customized adventure days with On The Road Costa Rica! They helped us pack in everything we wanted to see during our six day stay. Anthony and Stephanie are amazing tour coordinators and made sure we had the best drivers for experiences. SUNDAY- Dayro picked us up at Planet Hollywood and took us to a few beach towns where OTR had set up horseback riding for two of us and took theother two gals shopping. After that, we went to a favorite local lunch spot right on the beach and had delicious fresh fish, plantains, beans, and rice and yummy drinks. We then went onto Tamarindo for more shopping and finished with a completely off the beaten path yoga experience through Hari Om yoga to celebrate the new moon. Dayro also flexible and helpful, and patient and kind as we navigated the day in the many things we wanted to do. We are so grateful for him adding to all the good vibes we experienced that day! MONDAY- Leon had the *pleasure* of driving us around And provided a very informative tour of the Negro Park, including guiding us through the activities we chose. We learned about the volcanoes history and power production, experienced the mud bats in Hot Springs, a delicious lunch, and the absolutely breathtaking Oropendola waterfall.. including a dip in the pristine energizing waters. He was the perfect combination of informative and allowing us freedom to take our time experiencing the beauty around us. We enjoyed getting to know him and had the best experience listening to music while navigating traffic on the way back. He knows the BEST shortcuts! You must book your excursions with this team. They are the greatest!

The excursion was a lot of fun. Very fun family friendly. William, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. Would highly recommend.

Bring small bills for tipping individual experiences -you will want to give these amazing folks a tip! Quite a bit of walking- not for anyone that doesn’t like exercise. Was a lot of fun, adventure and a bit of terror! Do not lay down on water slide! Zip lining was a blast, horseback riding- maybe wear long pants, bring change of clothes, water slide was once in lifetime, and hot springs were amazing! Truly a memorable day!

Verny was an amazing tour guide! So attentive and knowledgeable. Took such good care of our family. On the road Costa Rica is an amazing tour company and we will definitely use them again when we return!

We also did the Rio Celeste tour first. We came back for this one because our tour guide Verny was so excellent. This tour may be touristy, but there is a reason! It is absolutely filled with the most fun activities and each portion we did became my new favorite. The horseback riding, water slide, and hot spring are standouts but I loved it all. Verny made our days seamless and very well laid out. It was a delight not to have to think too much to have a great day.
