Walking and listening to Nina, you start to learn about the real history of the town and get an insight into the mindset of the peole who created the memorials, the biases in favour of the current bases of power and the types of resistance that have emerged to change things. It was genuinely inspiring and I found out about places I had overlooked for years. Nina's a great guide, very knowledgeable & open to questions and discussion. I'd recommend anyone visiting the town or living here to go on one of these tours.

An enjoyable and thought-provoking tour
A great tour, very thought-provoking and engaging, with lots of food for thought! You will learn lots of new and unexpected things about this beautiful college town. Very interesting in particular on Cambridge's notorious MP, Oliver Cromwell.

Great (alternative) tour
We were last minute accomodated in a shortened version by tour guide Ashley. The tour took us through places that clearly were places that under other circumstances would have been ignored on another tour. It was much appreciated, also by the group and I wish we would have been able to do the entire tour.

Fun, interactive tour covering many areas of history!
We went on this tour as a group, and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was punctual, friendly, and incredibly well-informed about many areas of Cambridge's history. The tour focuses on the area around King's Parade and the backs, and we learnt a lot about buildings and places that we had passed many times before. Rather than just info-dumping, the tour guide was excellent at starting conversations and kept the tour engaging throughout.

Would recommend for locals + tourists
We did the tour in January - our tour guide was Shubham who was great. The information was really thought provoking and delivered in short bursts so was engaging. We really loved how interactive it was

Interesting approach to visiting Cambridge. Not your typical tourist scripted explanations.
Malak was a great guide. Many interesting background stories about Cambridge. Will recommend to anyone looking for a non typical Cambridge tour.

insightful tour of Cambridge past
Such a well researched tour about part of Cambridge histories that do not often got shared. We had exciting conversations and exchanges on the tour! Really enjoy the tour despite we went during the storm! I've lived in Cambridge for 2 years as student and working but still learned a lot during the tour. Will definitely recommend for anyone who is visiting or living in Cam!
