Richard was a really good host and when I come back to Jamaica I’ll definitely ask for his services! He was friendly, charged a fair price and even additional services such as free WiFi and TV! Very good tourist and best excursion I’ve been on with a company outside the hotel!

Best decision we made in Jamaica was to book a customized tour with Richardo. Richardo was incredibly responsive from the moment we booked our tour. I gave him a list of our must-do activities and he made them ALL happen in one day...and we paid the local prices at each attraction, rather than the inflated prices from the resort. We started our day off with a trip to Blue Hole where we hiked, jumped off cliffs and swung off rope swings into crystal clear water and swam in waterfalls. The Blue Hole guide that Richardo arranged for us was our personal photographer and made sure to capture every moment. Next we headed to the bamboo raft trip up the White River, with plenty of opportunities along the bank for local drinks, snacks and other local treats ;) After our raft adventure Richardo took us into town for the best shopping. He made sure to connect us with honest and reliable shops to ensure we were getting the greatest quality at the best price. After shopping we headed to Scotchies where are the locals go for Jerk Chicken and pork...and let me tell you, it was the BEST jerk we've ever had by a landslide. Our day ended with a boat cruise out to the luminous lagoon where we had a total bucket list experience swimming in the glowing waters. If we ever go to Jamaica again we will be booking an Airbnb and hiring Richardo as our private driver and chef. He does that too, BTW! If you're looking to see/do ANYTHING in Ocho Rios, stop reading and book a tour with Richardo. He'll make sure that all your wishes are granted :)

Richardo was a great tour guide. He arrived early at our resort and was also willing to make stops on the ride there and back. He waited for our excursion to end and was there to bring us back to our resort. Would definitely book again.

The Customized Rafting Adventure was everything we expected and more. Richie was an amazing tour Guide for us he took his time and answered any questions we had. I highly recommend booking him.

This is my 2nd time touring with Richie and it solidified why I came back. With transport from our resort to the excursions, he made sure that we had a great experience from beginning to end. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about what Jamaica has to offer and I will be making a habit to tour with him again!

Richie is an amazing tour guide. My husband and our family had a great time exploring Jamaica with him. We went river rafting, restaurants and the market for fruits and souvenirs. We all felt very safe with Richie as our guide. Will definitely be using his services again when we come back to Jamaica.

On my first trip to Jamaica, I stayed at Luxury Bahia Principle. I booked an excursion at the hotel, but they canceled because they didn't have enough participants. Someone from the staff recommended Richardo, and I could not be happier. For five days he took us to different places and showed us real Jamaica. Because Richie was able to get us local deals, it offset driving costs. We didn't pay more than the hotel excursion but we had first class service. Richie is the best driver, tour guide, and organizer. The weather wasn't the best so he helped us to schedule different trips around the rain. We went to Bob Marley's childhood home, we rode horses in the Caribbean Sea in Ocho Rios, swam in the luminous lagoon, jump to the Blue Hole and did river tubing too. I always wanted to do the clear kayak photoshoot and Richie made it happened. He took us to Mahogany Beach. I got VIP treatment and beautiful pictures and on top of that we did bamboo rafting and jet ski. The icing on the cake was the limestone massage. He also took us to a Marijuana nursery that usually doesn't take visitors. The excursions were great but Richie showed us real Jamaica. He explained customs, and history and taught us local expression. I couldn't recommend him and A & R Tours Jamaica more.

Long overdue, but still warranted. Vacation trip to Jamaica, (another Gem in this our Caribbean Islands) we called up and agency booking a trip for river rafting on that day. We decided to go with artoursjamaica based on price and flexibility, what we didn’t know was that we were booking Ritchie (a down-to-earth Jamaican). Ritchie turned up like the others did on time and pleasantly attired. His vehicle was spotless and a welcoming snack was available (like most of the other’s). Ritchie took us safely to our river rafting that we truly enjoyed, and after completing this activity, that’s when the Jamaican magic happened. Ritchie with his entertaining island information and gossip, deemed he’s not just a tour guide but a darn best cook (my family is into food), so I had to put Ritchie to the test. Left river rafting somewhere in Drax Hall, and headed to Ritchie and his chief friend restaurant in Runaway Bay, I was hungry. Having had Scotchies (jerk chicken & festival) the day before, I tormented Ritchie jokingly that nothing would top that, Ritchie’s reply was simply blah blah blah, wait you’ll see. We got there and Richie donned his cooking apron, and along with his friend took to the kitchen. We were served up Red Stripe beer from the bar (of course we are in Jamaica, right!), and waited for my locally caught red snapper paired with local ground provision and my wife’s grill lobster also locally caught with same. Long story made short, man oh man was I wrong. Scotchies was good, this food was magical. I ate everything down to the last flesh on my fish head and some of the bone weren’t recognizable, I’ll be delicate and just say my wife said it was the best lobster she’d ever eaten. Ritchie mentioned (in the purest Jamaican dialect) he ent ever seen any people eat down the food like that lol, he then bought us a few rounds of beers to show his appreciation, he didn’t have too, his food was more than enough. We did our goodbyes to all the locals that had engaged with us, and Ritchie took us back to our hotel in Ocho Rios. Jamaica is by far the best Caribbean island I’ve visited, my wife concurs, and we both come from Caribbean islands. But that tour day out, that ended with Ritchie’s cooking and company, was my bestest ever Caribbean experience. You go Jamaica, look for artoursjamaica, ask for Ritchie!
