What an amazing experience.. this is my first time trying this advanture, Pedro and Marc are the best were very helpful guiding me and showing me step and tech me how to control and do right movements for slides and hikes… Hiiggghhhly recommended this experience!!!

Wonderful experience... it was my first time canyoning and I've never felt so comfortable doing something like this before. The guides were wonderful and made the whole experience fun and safe.

We had a fantastic canyoning experience with our guides Joao and Joan! Beforehand we had nice and clear contact via whatsapp and calling. It was clear where to gather and also during the trip the guides explained everything to us step by step. The guides were very friendly and we laughed a lot. If you're excited, they'll get you through it all. In addition, they have taken many nice photos. Bringing your own go pro camera wasn't a problem either (I would only do this if you don't find the trip exciting, because you do a lot with one hand!). I would definitely recommend this experience and do it more often!

Myself and my friend booked on to Be Local Madeira as a recommendation by another person who used the service - and was absolutely incredible! Our guides, Fransico and Luca were friendly and knowledgeable, and encouraging when taking any of the challenges. We felt safe and secure with all of their instruction, and equipment. My friend was more tentative and took her time, and we never felt rushed by the leaders/ group. Someone else in our group had an injury in our group and they were very attentive and did not push anyone beyond their means. Our experience cost €70 per person , including pick up and drop off to the site. Organizing the transport was painless and they answered my many questions promptly. All of our belongings were stored safely and taken to end of the route, so we didn't have to worry about anything. They also take lots of photos so no need to bring your phone. We had best driver Miguel who took us back, thank you for the tunes! We could not recommend this experience enough !

Me and my partner tried the beginner lever canyoning as I've abseiled a bit in the past but wanted a challenge. This was the BEST part of our trip so far!! We were just smiling and laughing the whole time. Our two guides Mauro and Ika were faultless. We all felt safe, fully informed, well guided and supported through all the beautiful areas, dips, crossings and waterfalls through this incredible canyon. Even with one girl who slightly hurt her foot, they were so kind, patient and supportive making sure she got down slowly and safely with the group without any further worry. She was smiling so much at the end! We were all laughing, cheering and supporting each other as a group so you get this amazing feel to it as you go. Even if you're slightly fearful of heights or water like some of our group were, they make you feel so at ease even with the jumps, slides and dips that we didn't think we could even do!! Me and my partner were smiling and laughing the whole way as it was a first for us both and the guides will take so many amazing pictures for you and show you where to pose! Our advice would be, bring a sense of fearlessness, bring that trust and depency in them as you'd just hold yourself back otherwise. Nevertheless as a beginner course it was still so exhilarating and fun, we even did slides and jumping into the water! We were so proud at the end and our guides got us together for a big group photo and kept calling us their family!! Tips I'd share is wear your swimwear underneath and the changing area is sort of out in the open on the side of a road so bring a towel for modesty if you prefer!! Don't bother with phones, watches etc you won't need them! Your things are safely kept in designated numbered bags by the host and he keeps these safe and makes sure they're there at the end. You go to a little bar area at the end when you're finished which has a toilet but otherwise you do have to hold pee most of the way. Be ready! As amongst the actual canyoning there were climbs, walks and traversing across streams, slippery rocks etc so definitely bring your energy but it was SO WORTH IT! We could not stop saying how amazing it was and how we couldn't have done it without the support of our guides and such a wonderful group so Thank you, I would give this 11/10 if I could and I genuinely have no complaints (other than the wetsuits initially do feel a bit icky when they go on... But will feel so comfortable when you're in the cold water!) Be fearless, go for it, I would recommend this to anyone wanting to feel so at nature in Madiera and pushing themselves to their limits! If I could give a 10 star review, I would. Mauro and Ika were absolutely incredible. I felt safe and comfortable throughout. They were warm funny and friendly and it just felt like I was doing a fun experience with some friends. Suzie and I loved it, we had the best time and our bus driver too sorry I forget your name but a lovely man. This is a must do experience in Madeira and such insane value for money. Thanks guys you were amazing. Much love❤️

It was great. I came with my 10-year-old. The guides really helped her at every step she needed. The canyoning was great, and it is an experience to remember. Maru, Chemo, and Luka, you are great.

The route was exciting. We climbed, jumped and slides down smaller waterfalls. Enough action even as it was a beginner trail.
